RW Shtick - "Poll: Military Families Not 'Fonda' Cindy Sheehan"

Poll: Military Families Not 'Fonda' Cindy Sheehan

While CNN and MSNBC desperately search for a replacement for Cindy Sheehan, pollster Scott Rasmussen was hard at work surveying the public to see if the woman is having an impact.

The results were not surprising.

Her unfavorable rating is incredibly high, 38%, while she was viewed favorably by 35% of those polled. Think about that, a grieving mother who lost her son in the war in Iraq has a 38% unfavorable rating.

It gets worse for Ms. Sheehan when military families are polled:

Among those with family members who have served in the military, Sheehan is viewed favorably by 31% and unfavorably by 48%.

John Hinderaker gives this analysis:

By a 38% to 35% plurality, Americans disapprove of Cindy Sheehan. And that's what they're willing to say to pollsters! Plus, those figures are based mostly on the initial, totally positive media coverage of Sheehan. As time goes by, and people learn more about Sheehan--e.g., her anti-Americanism, and the fact that she was so fervently anti-war BEFORE her son enlisted that she vowed to run him down with her car if he joined up--her ratings will no doubt slide further.

The Summer of Cindy has been another useless diversion for the Democrats.

4. Was it Bill O'Lielly who started that comparison with Fonda? I heard
it on cable a few nights ago but forget who was talking.

2. Poll is suspect
there are no citations, and I've read other polls-directly-that say otherwise.

6. Wrong!
Citing a plurality from this poll is disingenuous. There is a 3% margin of error, which makes it statistically even.

10. Heh- A mere point or two from a "mandate" by today's media standards.
I mean, since she is apparently running for office now, with all these "polls" being done and all the smears against her.

:)

8. What office is she running for? Whatz with these "polls?"
Why are all of her naysayers so desperate to find out what focus groups think- who cares?

Cindy's movement is making people think, period.

11. Gee, if Cindy's 38% unfavorable is considered "incredibly high," I can't
wait to see what adjectives they use to describe **, whose unfavorable rating was 50% in the last Gallup poll.

These butt wipes can bite me.

12. Wow! She's more than half as unpopular as the President!
And that thing about "Not Fonda".. Hyuk, Hyuk, Hyuk! Those fucking Republicans, they crack me up. They talk about us living in the sixties, but for them it's always 1972; in Miami.

I bet they wear yellow polyester liesure suits, golf shoes, and listen to The Osmonds and Englebert Humperdink.

13. Polls are right wing supported with no logic -->
Only 42% claim they support Bush's handling of Iraq war, while only 38% support Cindy Sheehan when Kissinger,Gingritch,Luger are saying we're sting too long?? - nah, I don't believe it.
