Paul Hackett with Bill Maher (video) |

Cindy Sheehan was supposed to be on but couldn't show up because of her mom's condition. Paul filled in. http://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/08/20.html#a4537

1. Saw this interview last night. amazing stuff |
|
I can see why he almost won. another great man to add to the list of those creating the new face of the democratic party, along with Obama, Dean, and Clark (and of course Cindy Shehan).
These people are dangerous to the republicans, and they know it. It may take some time but with people like this on our side we will win.

Best exchange:
BM: I mean, you called Bush a chickenhawk.
PH: Right. Said it, meant it, stand by it. Say it again. (Audience breaks into :applause: and whistles.) I don't know why that's such a big excitement. I mean, the facts are the facts. I mean, come on, this is not complicated. It's not rocket science.

8. That was GREAT! I missed the show when it was on. You know, |
|
what we all see in Paul Hackett is what seems to be what we're looking for in all candidates. Fast on his feet, great comebacks, and sticks with what he says.
I too hope Paul runs for some office in Ohio in 2006. With all the problems the Pubs are having in that State, I think he could win any office he chose, and quite easily.

14. Hackett really is that personable. |
|
The speech he gave on election night was still electrifying, even though he had been narrowly defeated.
I feel so lucky that I got to meet him and speak with him. His honesty is refreshing.
