Hey, guys, VH1Classic is playing "Woodstock"
over and over again for today and tomorrow. Cool beaners. All you young people who never lived it, go have a look. It starts at the beginning of a 3-hour broadcast at 3:30 pm CST.

Joan Baez, the Who, Jimi Hendrix, good stuff.

2.  Depressing.
There are no performers in this generation who are fit to even carry the lunch pails of those who performed at the original Woodstock.

It just makes me appreciate the brilliance of the likes of Jimi Hendrix and The Who all the more.

I'm fairly positive that we'll never see musicians that are as brilliant as those that were around in the late 60s-early 70s.

Compare the playlists of any "modern rock" station with that of a "classic rock" station today--no one will be able to remember anything on the "modern rock" station in 2 years, while the classic rock station's playlist is still great decades later.

Sad.
