Sheehan shows Iraqi and Muslim people what democracy is all about
I never have understood it when Republicans say that every time someone speaks up in opposition to the President and the War it shows the enemy our country is weak and emboldens the enemy???? A Muslim doctor of of mine said to me the other other day that what Sheehan shows them is what a democracy is and how it works. Some of the extremists may be offended by Sheehan's actions since thy don't think women should have a say in anything but I am willing to bet as my doctor said, that many moderate Iraqi people look at Sheehan standing up to the President and think.... "Wow, that country really does give power to the regular people and they don't get their head chopped off when they speak up!"

People like Sheehan are our best PR weapon when it comes to showing the Iraqi people what things could be like in their country. We should embrace anyone who has the guts to stand up to the president because they show the world what is best about our country and democracy.

Why don't Democrats ever use this argument?

3. Aw, answered the question yourself.
The GOP may want theocracy, or may think it's only allying with theocrats in the interests of power; but one thing the GOP does not want is democracy.
