FM types?
OLBERMANN (8/17/05): Time for Countdown`s list of today`s three nominees for the title of “Worst Person in the World.” Nominated at the bronze level: In coastal Scotland, police report that some of them while away the late summer afternoons by going to the cliffs and throwing rocks at the people who live and drive below. A policeman warned them, “Playing near cliffs is dangerous, boys.” Why did you tell them, sir?

Also, the fine folks at Austin Community College in Texas. Carl Basham said he was denied the state residence discount for tuition. He has to pay $2,600 a semester instead of $500 because they say he spent too much time living out of state. Well it`s true, Carl has been away, serving, he says, two tours in Iraq.

But the winner, it`s the irrepressible Rush Limbaugh. On the radio, he said quote, "Cindy Sheehan is just Bill Burkett. Her story is nothing more than forged documents. There`s nothing about it that`s real." I guess she made up that dead son in Iraq business! He also referred to her supporters as dope-smoking FM types. I guess the painkillers wipe out your memory along with your ethics. Rush Limbaugh, today`s “Worst Person in the World!
==============================

What are FM types?

46. He means FM radio, which used to be music, not informative, etc.
However, he is on FM stations here and there. One on our local FM stations is all right wing talk. It's so bad their tower leans to the right.

The good news is Limbaugh's numbers are falling and hopefully he'll be gone..................

FM = NPR and classical music.
AM = Limpballs, Hannity, O'Really, Sabitch, etc. etc.

34. Right...that's the spirit. When you get back from "over there" we'll have
to get together to reset the decoder rings. We might meet at an opera, classical music concert, or maybe a library, so the RW agents won't see us. ('Cause they wouldn't be caught dead at one.)

38. Oh, I forgot about that. Yes, they avoid military recruiters like they
avoid things like logic and thinking. I forgot, thanks for the reminder.

I also forgot that the latest "talking point" is that they are staying on the home front to get the "message" across. You know the message; repeat the "talking points" that the hate radio spews.

Would you like some nice French wine with that brie? I can probably get it for real cheap since O'Really has had his boycott drive the price down. He's really got the French economy in a tail-spin.

listening to the likes of him and Hate Radio AM. Once again, trying to brand Liberals as elitists because they ::gasp:: listen to MUSIC! OH the HORROR! MUSIC- maybe even Classical MUSIC- instead of the daily dose of brainwashing the junta wants us to tune into.

Anyway, that's all I could come up with.

That's why he's been crazier than usual!

How shameful, to listen to radio transmissions that are modulated in such a way that they don't dissolve into static whenever the receiver passes behind a solid object!

Have we sold our very souls for an extra 12kHz of frequency resolution?

I must hide my FM-type head in disgrace...

Edited on Sun Aug-21-05 09:02 PM by 0rganism
I mean, the Howard Stern Show for gosh sakes! That could completely throw your endocrine system out of control in under five minutes of sustained listening. Testosterone overproduction, thyroid suppression, water flouridation, oh, it's all in there, just waiting like a hungry shark for an unsuspecting audience to tune in.

One moment you're a normal liberal-hating dittohead, the next you're foregoing your weekly TBN tithe to buy tickets for MONSTER TRUCKS AT THE COLLISEUM! FM is dangerously subversive territory.
