As the 2006 races approach, we must tackle the bogus polling
The polls (the published ones at least) are the "cover" for "adjusting" the voting results..They also give a "heads-up" to repubes, so they know which areas are close, and where to concentrate their resources..

Can you imagine how flummoxed they would be if dems did not tip their hands when polled? Just say you are supporting the republican candidate.. If they cannot determine which areas are "close", they may not be able to mobilize the "cheat-squad" in time to steal the
"close ones".

I also have long-advocated registering republican, so they can waste money sending you "kindling" in the mail, and waste time phoning you. Being "republican" can also allow the wackiest republican to be the primary victor..

They play sneaky, and so should WE!

2. Why doesn't the DNC commission their own pollsters?
Why do we rely on others, with their own agenda, to tell us what we think?

3. Wouldn't matter.. the media only reports on the ones THEY choose
and unfortunately THEY are not on "our side"..and even when a poll pops up that DIES favor a dem, there are usualy some "experts" invited on to tell why the numbers are "odd".. The deck is stacked against us at every turn, because the ones in power have no intention of playing fairly.

But we have our own methods of disseminating information.....the internets!

6. The polls I've seen reported sound good for us.
Was it Roper who did the 50-state poll on Bush's approval rating? Any way, as I recall, his approval rating in most of the 'battleground'/swing states has dropped off dramatically; IF that continues to be the case, I can't help but see how that should have a positive effect on the 2006 congressional and gubernatorial races.

What polls are you referring to?

7. Those don't matter at all.
You can get rid of exit polls if you want, in fact, that's what the neocons would love.

Its who counts the votes that matters, and always will.

So it is an uphill battle against the use of Diebold/ES&S, but when that fraud is removed things will get back to normal. Remember the war, and remember the players.

8. That wasn't the subject of my post.
The Roper poll wasn't an exit poll, number one, and did I say anything about e-voting, number two?
