The next Celeb Repug...
I've been watching on slow disgust this develop over the last year (some of you probably noticed much earlier) as hidden (or maybe not so hidden if even I noticed) theme has developed within all the hype around Lance Armstrong.

The guy gets a lot of respect from me on his cycling achievements but that's as far as it goes.

It has seemed to me he's being groomed for a rethug political career.

And now today we hear about his cozy bike ride with Kommanda KooKoo Bananas on his ranch.

How sickening.

1. hope you are ready for another flame war..........
this topic flew over low on the horizon yesterday and the you-know- what hit the fan. I have heard differing opinions on what Lance may do, but for now I will hold judgment until he announces. I too admire him for his personal achievements, but if he turns Repuke on us, its over. End of Story.

4. When the president invites you for a ride, you ride.
I've always heard he's a Democrat.

And not a mountain biker.

Good thing Bush didn't run into him.

5. He also had Kerry as his guest at Tour de France
He invited Senator Kerry to be his personal guest for the last leg of the Tour de France this year. So he's cozied up to leaders in both parties. Also, his girlfriend (Sheryl Crow) is a liberal.

I don't know which way Armstrong swings, politically speaking.

6. He's from Austin...
...he's opening a bar in the very liberal entertainment district there...he's with Sheryl Crow.

I don't see him being a Republican. Of course, anything's possible.
