Riddle me this.. Why is the Republican attack dog/smear machine NOT |

uttering a word about heretical remarks from Chuck Hagel, so far as I can tell? (re: Iraq = Vietnam, it's a mistake, we should leave etc.)
If any prominent Democratic politician said the same things -- A WITCH! HERESY! Dick Durbin treatment.
Is it because he's the groomed successor, or some other reason?
Are they saying bad things about him on Rush and Faux that I'm missing because I don't listen or watch those shows?

Is it cognitive dissonance? I would assume support for the Iraq misadventure is a party line on their board.
