Maybe we can ask cable news to investigate what happened to the news coverage of current national events we used to have. I haven't seen that in a while. it is not that we don't have sympathy for the missing people and their loved ones, it's that the glaring discrimation of the media is pointed out every time these obsessions develop

8. There is another possible news obsession.

The trial of Perry March will be coming up. His wife disappeared nine years ago and they finally arrested him and charged him with abuse of a corpse and murder but as far as anyone knows there is still no body. Wife's parents kidnapped his kids from Mexico once and he got them back a year later but they are prominent here and have kept the heat on the case. There was a 48 Hours special on it about a year or two ago and Inside Edition covered it this week so it might be the next trial to be masquerading 24/7 as news. The only thing to keep this from happening is that the victim was a dark-haired Jewish princess and not blonde and blue.
