IF BY THE TIME WE LEAVE IRAQ
WOMEN HAVE LESS RIGHTS THAN THEY DID UNDER SADDAM.

THEN WE HAVE FAILED.
AND ALL THOSE BRAVE SOLDIERS WILL HAVE DIED IN VAIN.

Don't get me wrong, I thought this war was bullshit from the start, but since we totally fucked their country up, the least thing we can do is leave those people as free and democratic a country as possible.

WHY AREN'T WE SHOUTING THIS FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOPS!?!?!?!?!

WOMEN'S RIGHTS ARE BEING STRIPPED IN THE NEW IRAQI CONSTITUTION AND THE PRES IS PLAYING BALL WITH THEM ON IT.
FUCK THAT SHIT!

But from a less passionate stand-point, and from a more calculating one: Is there anything that could discredit the president more on the Iraq war than this? That women will actually be LESS FREE, LESS EQUAL now then they were under Saddam?
God, what I would give to hear people talking about this issue in the MSM or on the cable channels!
can we get a buzz going on this? Maybe this could the straw that finally broke the camels back?

2. We are shouting from the roof tops, it is just that your local televised
media channels are ignoring the outrage and instead are choosing to label those opposed to Cindy Sheehans stand against this administration to be patriotic individuals...

Can they be anymore blantant about thier obvious prejudice against any and all of those opposed to the lies coming from the white house?

3. Dead right
particularly given the amount of back patting they have done about helping the rights of women.

Expect to hear reference to the rape rooms every time this subject is brought up.

4. The right wing liars' latest deception is that Bush has freed Iraqi women
from their burkas. I kid you not. Bill Maher had Right-wing liar Kellyanne Conway on his show on Friday and she actually made this claim. Bill Maher responded by asking her, "Which asshole did you pull THAT from?"

5. Cindy is being watched.... and she needs to make a reference to
this fact, and that her son went to Iraq to help free Iraqi women... and that this is not the way it is turning out.

She should ask * if her son died so that these restrictions could be put on Iraqi women... just a thought.

6. Ah, see they got you to buy in!
Now you are willing to come to the table and discuss what criteria makes this unmitigated failure a success. They are clever.

9. I agree that this war cannot be won in anyway
But I think that what you said is just partisanship to the max -the type of partisanship that does nothing to help anyone or anything.

I cry and I burn with anger sometimes thinking about the pointlessness and stupidity of this war and wish we would pull out right now, but I've accepted that Bush is not going to pull out, no matter how much the public and his fellow Repubs turn against the war -because the SOB is just crazy like that.

So if we are going to sacrifice all those lives for this shit, the least we can do is punk those knuckledragging monkeys writing this constitution and demand equal rights for women.

I'm not about to forget the ideals I live by just because I am pissed at Bush.

12. It isn't about partisanship. It's about the fact that losing a war...
does not permit you to call the shots. We were not able to dictate to the North Vietnamese how they'd run Viet Nam when we left, and Iraq is no different. If liberals take the bait and say that this war has to go on until X, then it isn't going to end. We need to get out.

10. Are theocracies any easier to get to sell out their peoples'
mineral rights?? I don't think so. Major flaws in the PNAC agenda.
