They're soft-soaping the administration's role in this though. The idea is that the Intelligence Agencies failed a poor well-meaning President Bush....all of which is horseshit.

They took the intelligence that was there and hyped it, "sexed it up" as the Brits would say.

And they didn't care.

In the process they lied to us repeatedly.

11. They made no mention of Wilson's visit to Niger when they were

talking about the uranium and the "16 words"....This would have been the perfect time to bring it in and also Karl Rove's outing of Plame....They also didn't mention that Paul O'Neill and Richard Clarke (both former White House insiders) have said Bush was intent on going to war against Iraq from day one in the White House!....All of this would have made Bush look bad!

12. i watched what i could on cnn.com and it seemed to me they

reported it with an historic tone. like, can you believe -- this is what we thought. past tense. wonder how faux will follow this. you know it's going to be the watercooler talk of the week. this and six feet under.
