What bugs me the most about "Dead Wrong" |
|
It was a good documentary, and told some necessary truths.
But what is so fricking annoying is that it stands out so much. The mediocre seems like excellence, because the media is such a desert -- including CNN.
That's the kind of damn reporting the MSM should be doing all the time as a matter of course. Where were they when we needed them?

and just think what might have happened if they would have. Are they now being haunted by the consequences of their silence. The MSM is just as complicit.

6. They made no mention of Wilson's visit to Niger when they were |
|
talking about the uranium and the "16 words"....This would have been the perfect time to bring it in and also Karl Rove's outing of Plame....They also didn't mention that Paul O'Neill and Richard Clarke (both former White House insiders) have said Bush was intent on going to war against Iraq from day one in the White House!....All of this would have made Bush look bad!

18. That might be because of Fitzgerald's pending |

indictments. They'll need a jury pool for it that isn't tainted by the news.

was the split second look at the NYT report supporting the 'mushroom cloud' nonsense. you had to really look for Judith Miller's name on the byline. I wish her complicity had been spelled out for the masses who have not been paying attention.

11. Well when you are trying to sandwich two years into an hour... |
|
That's sorta what I was getting at.
They couldn;t be expected to squeeze in everything into one hour. The problem is they should be covering all this shit responsibly all along.

Half of that shit was obvious, demonstrable fact *BEFORE THE INVASION*. But they didn't report any of it back when it might've helped. Too much money to be made.

17. Because, being the whores that they are, can tell that a shift is in the.. |

...wind, and they want to make sure they've covered all the bases....From the snippet I saw in a preview way too much of the blame gets laid at the feet of the CIA and hardly any at the feet of the Dogs Of War that rushed us into the abyss....

20. I just watched about 5 minutes of it... |
|
and during that segment all of the blame was laid at the feet of the Dogs of War. Specifically it stated that the intelligence community knew the evidence was dodgy, but the White House pushed it and embellished it anyway.
If CNN's "corporate masters" have a vested interest in the occupation of Iraq, then it's not very logical to be throwing a log in the fire.

19. I didn't particularly like it |
|
Sure, it had some stuff that looked bad for the Bushies, but mostly I found it to be a Tenet bash-fest. Sure, Tenet was a f**k up of the highest order, but the CNN report made it seem like poor ol' W got wryied to by that meanie George Tenet. It came off like CNN's position was: "our president never would have done those bad things if that guy Tenet didn't make him". :sarcasm:

22. There was not one NEW piece of info presented, so I was surprised |
|
when people here started talking impeachment again. The only surprising things were:
1. Conservative News Network decided to present the program at all.
2. They did a good job. I don't know if I have seen a program that laid it all out in chronological order that way.
3. It didn't seem biased.
We knew every bit and piece of that info....and the sheeple should have known too. It's just rare to see all the pieces put together in a coherent program in prime time.

23. I'm glad the show stood out for 2 reasons. |
|
It's the first time that certain of the sheep will see something on TV that just might strike home.
It proves that that the media WILL cover events like this. The problem is that our Democratic leaders haven't stood up on TV and hollered out loud about Bush. CNN took it upon themselves to do this.

you THEN, CNN?
Now they want applause?
I missed any reference to Fitzgerald, Plame, Miller, Cooper, Novak
Will that report take another 21/2 years to produce?
