A CHILDREN'S book: "Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed"
Edited on Sun Aug-21-05 09:16 PM by Rose Siding
Now they want to terrify their own children! This is SO hateful and digusting.

And of COURSE it's endorsed on the back cover...

"Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed"combines an ingenious story with hilarious
illustration to teach kids about the value of hard work and the threat that taxes pose to the
American Dream" -Grover Norquist

Book Description
This full-color illustrated book is a fun way for parents to teach young children the valuable lessons of conservatism. Written in simple text, readers can follow along with Tommy and Lou as they open a lemonade stand to earn money for a swing set. But when liberals start demanding that Tommy and Lou pay half their money in taxes, take down their picture of Jesus, and serve broccoli with every glass of lemonade, the young brothers experience the downside to living in Liberaland.

First Sentence:
Tommy and Lou were brothers who lived in a small house, on a small street, in a small neighborhood, in a small city, in the great USA.

3. And the lies! Who pays half their money in taxes?
Who do the kids think pay for the police who protect them from being robbed, or the school where they learn to count their FREAKING money, or for a zillion other things that make a society what it is? Bet there's no chapter about those things.

The very idea that people would try to frighten children about people who are very likely their own good neighbors is just so ugly.:(

9. Well if Grover has his way
"Who do the kids think pay for the police who protect them from being robbed, or the school where they learn to count their FREAKING money, or for a zillion other things that make a society what it is?"

the corporations will. And the wealthy families. The rabble can fight with each other for the few bucks they're lucky to get.

Private militaries for Exxon and Wal-Mart(wait a sec...). Willing men to be paid to be body guards, when the wages continue to fall, because of Wal-Mart(and others, to be fair). Your local highschool, brought to you by Fox News and McDonalds, where you're children will learn what we want them to know(and how to work cheaply for it).

If a world like that isn't Grover's wet dream, then I don't know what would be.

10. WTF?
From the Publisher: "But with the nation’s libraries and classrooms filled with overtly liberal children’s books advocating everything from gay marriage to marijuana use, kids everywhere are being deluged with left-wing propaganda."

I'm....just...flabberghasted!

16. People who liked this book....
didn't like this one.

Mommy, Where is my right wing republican Daddy?

A hilarious look at the children abandoned by right wing republican daddies when they leave their second, third, or fourth wife to bang the young receptionist.

First Sentence:

Billy knew liberals where bad because his dad told him so many times when he was drunk or after he beat up mom.

17. Guess they wouldn't mention the
big market next to them, where everyone can buy two gallons of lemonade for one penny, and it's owned by the Chinese, and the result is they don't make a ANY money.

Additionally, their parents work at this market themselves, and the kids just wanted to help out their parents because they can't afford to pay the medical bills and the mortgage. They also live next to the market because it's closer and they can't afford to work anywhere they would need to drive to, because of the gas prices.

BUY the lemonade without asking the political affiliation of the children or their parents, while the conservatives would mostly walk by the kids muttering, and one would have the stand shut down for being in competition with their own Quik-E-Mart up the street.

20. Can't be any worse than The O'Reilly Factor for Kids
I can't wait for the sequel to that book when Tommy and Lou try to avoid the draft because of an ingrown hair on their asses, or too many blacks are volunteering, or they plan on serving by writing a story, or they have bad knees (yet they can still wrestle), or they have a skin rash, or their daddy's powerful and the worthless commie liberals should be dying anyways.
