I think I know what is going on now....
Edited on Sun Aug-21-05 11:52 PM by FreedomAngel82
I think I know what is going on now and here's what I think. Now it's clear to me all the rightwingers are trying to blame the CIA and the intelligence community for Bush's wrong doings. I think they are doing this because something big is about to happen with Fitzgerald. Remember that these people like to frame the debate first. They like to not get caught but instead be the hero's and all that BS so they can still get elected and what not. This is Trent Lott on "Meet the Press". You can see the video at crooksandliars.com. He wrote a book about Iraq and everything and here's what he said: In the summer of 2002 the president began lobbying for an open-ended resoultion empowering him to wage a war on Iraq. Bush has made clear his intentions to wage war on Iraq in serval of our private meetings.

In August and into in the fall and beginning not too long after 9/11 as we had leadership meetings and breakfast meetings he would go around the world and talk about what was going on and where the threats were and the dangers were and even in private discussions it was clear to me that he thought Iraq was a destablized force and danger and growing danger and that we would have to deal with that problem. He was very much concerned about Saddam Hussein and what he was doing to his people and to his neighbors and the threat of weapons of mass distruction and by the way the intelligence that he was getting and I was getting was much of the same. The short answer to your question is he felt like we would have to deal with the problem before some of the diplomatic errors accured and I don't mean that critically. It was my impression. It was clearly apart of the discussions both in the leadership meetings, intelligence briefings (focusing around WMD's) and in meetings with the president. We had every reason to believe that they had WMD's. There were other factors. We did feel like, he did feel like, they were being counterproductive and distructive in the middle east and he's (Saddam) giving awards to suicide murders. They're killing innocent women, men and children in the middle east and Israel and Palestine. Those other things were obviously discussed (terrorism and democracy) and the concern that terrosim would be fed directly and indirectly by Iraq and Saddam Hussein. WMD's were clearly the focus not in lobbying (flipflopper!!! He flipflopped right on the show!!) but intelligence. The briefings we had, and I remember them, from the CIA and from the administration officials we looked at evidence that we had. We were concerned about a number of things. And it wasn't just about the basis of doing on this evidence or that evidence but the collage was extremely (cut off).

So it's clear to me what they are doing!

2. yep, it's all negligence, and the CIA's fault at that...
Well, Larry Johnson's bit was there as a hint, but overwhelmingly the mood and "dots to connect" were all there leading to the CIA and it committing negligence and being a failure. The WHIG and OSP mentions were so brief (maybe a single utterance) that I didn't even catch it and I watched the thing intently to critique it.

4. I don't think so either which is why
they're so desperate to do this. CNN and then Trent Lott on "Meet the Press." They're very desperate to blame the CIA. Something is definietly going to happen and they're trying to save their butts. What I found interesting is in the beginning Lott did blame Bush and then he did a total flipflop. :eyes:

5. Let them blame the CIA...
...this strategy will backfire.

There are many people at the CIA who could reveal lots of damning evidence against BushCo. I'm sure there's loads of scandals and leaks just waiting to slip out.

I don't think BushCo wants to piss off the CIA. There are too many there who could provide evidence and information about the administration's corruption and thuggery.

7. What total idiots....they took the 9/11 bait hook and sinker. Bingo.
This IS what it is about

We had every reason to believe that they had WMD's. There were other factors. We did feel like, he did feel like, they were being counterproductive and distructive in the middle east and he's (Saddam) giving awards to suicide murders. They're killing innocent women, men and children in the middle east and Israel and Palestine. Those other things were obviously discussed (terrorism and democracy) and the concern that terrosim would be fed directly and indirectly by Iraq and Saddam Hussein.

Who told "President" that they were killing innocent Israelis and people everywhere all around the Caspian Sea?

Was it Richard Cheney? Partly. How about all of the neo-conservatives? Bingo. Who is their loyalty to? This isn't a tough one. Their loyalty is to a rogue, israeli Likud party. They are all the military might of Ariel Sharon.

For how many years have these folks been controlling our "intelligence"? Try since 1996, before Able Danger or any kind of Oklahoma City, 9/11 events. The CIA's fault Bush?

Yeah, right you lying scumbag. It was the fault of the Lewis Libbys in the administration and for your pasty ass going along with it, swallowing everything, and lying to everyone to make a quick buck off Cheney's oil deal. How much is that oil foundary under the caspian sea worth what was the last estimate?
