Most telling of all is this statement--sad but oh so true:

>>>>snip
Sheehan has revealed both the strength and the weakness of the left. We have a political agenda that can command considerable mainstream support; yet we do not have a political leadership willing or able to articulate those agendas. We wield political influence; we lack legislative power.

1. It's so true
And when they finally do do that they backaway as in Mr. Durbin. What he said about Gitmo was so true but he had to apologize. *sigh* I think that's why so many people like Hackett.

2. Indeed
Perhaps it's wrong to look to stuffed shirt politicians for leadership of the anti-war movement. Maybe ordinary Americans should lead, and if they do so effectively, the politicians will follow.

3. This is a sign to me we need to sweep the democratic offices.....
Kick out all the weak, play along and buddy buddy with fascist DLC types and put out only progressives like Paul Hackett. Hell I wish every candidate was like Hackett! He was great, genuine, kick everyone's ass.

4. kick out the DLC and replace them all with Iraq war veterans!!!!!
Absofsckinglutely.

The DLC are traitors to their party and their country. There is no room for AEI/PNAC moles. There should be zero tolerance. There should be no amnesty. There should be no quarter. We should never forgive. We should never forget.
