15. I cannot remember the details but recently on here I have seen Dennis
has been one of the few Dems in the Legislature to publically give his support to Ms. Sheehan's efforts to recieve justice.

2. DEM Candidates should prepare themselves by reading good LEADERSHIP Books.
There are many of them out there. Thats the first step. The DU is also a nice place to do current event research....becoming ASTUTE on many subjects....etc.

6. they need to get their feet out of the corrupt system
And go back to the principles of the Democratic Party, too. Too many of these guys think they can have it both ways: corporate dollars and our support. Wrong. The corporate dollars are what is causing this divide in America.

11. Feingold is a clean candidate
that was his thing in Wisconsin. Made a pledge drastically limiting contributions to his campaign, and kept the pledge.

4. I stopped donating
When I get a phonecall now asking me to donate, I tell them that when the Dems get a spine again, I'll start donating again. Fed up is fed up.

7. The DLC (Senate) and New Democrats (House) can certainly kiss my ass
WRONG on Iraq
WRONG on trade
WRONG on the bankruptcy bill
WRONG on the Patriot Act
AFRAID of Bush!

They'd be well advised to be afraid of us, instead.

8. You are sooooo right! We have to start getting the DINOs
out of the democratic party. Until we do, we aren't a party, we're just a bunch of people being shafted by fakes who are only in politics for themselves and what they can personnally get out of it. They don't represent any of us who see themselves as being true democrats. They don't represent any of the traditional democratic ideals or moral values. They don't give a damn about stopping the war, they don't want to get out of Iraq, they don't give a damn about healthcare (except maybe for Kerry, but I'm sick of him as well). They don't give a damn about jobs, salaries going down in the toilet. And they don't have the backbone or whatever it takes to fight the rampant corruption in our country which comes from the Oval Office, House, and Senate and filters down to the local level. In fact, their acceptance of the corruption makes them equally as guilty as Tom DeLay, Bill Frist, Dennis Hastert, Dick Cheney, Richard Perle, and of course george bush** (all known liars and sticky fingered bastards).

14. posted this on another thread seemed appropriate here...

"Sadly, such examples are all too rare. Sheehan has revealed both the strength and the weakness of the left. We have a political agenda that can command considerable mainstream support; yet we do not have a political leadership willing or able to articulate those agendas. We wield political influence; we lack legislative power"

16. No support, no vote, for collaborationist Dems.
One of my Dem senators is up in '06 (Cantwell) lost my vote (and, my wife's) when she voted for the war. We'll be voting Green come November '06.

17. Judging from the turnout at Camp Casey .....
The support is underwhelming. The Democrats are a truly gutless bunch. We need a real progressive party real bad.

18. Did the CAFTA vote slip by everyone here?
95% of Repubs for, 95% of Dems against. I'd call that a major difference between the two parties.

And if lefties had not opted out of electoral politics in the 70s, but instead followed the example of Bernie Sanders, where might we be now?

Either you're with us--the people, or you're with the (domestic) terrorists (in the White House).
