MSNBC: Bush Blathers to VFW, fails to mention Cindy or Salt Lake protests
MSNBC: Bush Blathers to VFW and fails to mention Cindy or Salt Lake protests!

<snip>
He didn’t mention Cindy Sheehan, the grieving mother who started the protest vigil outside his ranch.

In an ad airing in Salt Lake City to coincide with Bush’s visit, Sheehan pleaded for a meeting with him and accused him of lying to the American people about Iraq’s development of weapons of mass destruction and its connection to al-Qaida terrorists.

One station, ABC affiliate KTVX, refused to run the ad, saying it could be offensive to the community.

An anti-war rally was planned near the convention site, but some VFW delegates said they considered it disrespectful to veterans.

2. I thought that was the actual headline...
was like damn, msnbc is going to be attacked for liberal bias...Prefer your headline to theirs...In fact, hasnt MSNBC been using the same headline for all of Bush's speeches..."Bush reaffirms"...How can you reaffirm anything when your poll numbers are lower than Nixons?

KUTV in Salt Lake:

<snip>
Protesters for and against the war gathered outside The Salt Palace Monday morning in anticipation of President Bush's arrival.

About one-hundred people are standing outside the convention center chanting and holding up signs. It's war protesters versus war supporters as they stand facing each other.

Protesters are holding signs that say, "War begins with W,'' "Truth is Patriotic,'' "We stand behind our president,'' and "Honk for Peace.''
