Bush is tanking. Must we put Armageddon and the Rapture on hold now?
The great lie of Bush's war is starting to sink in, it seems. Long-befuddled Americans are finally figuring out what the rest of the world has known all along, and Junior's numbers are tanking.

Here's a concern: Is anyone taking the pulse of Bush's Fundie base these days? The big box churches have been putting asses in seats and raking in the cash by preaching Bush is the anointed harbinger of Biblical prophesy. But...what's happening here lately simply doesn't fit their comic book prophesy timetable.

So I ask, must we put Armageddon and the Rapture on hold? I was sooo looking forward to the chosen ones vanishing into a higher plane. *sigh* Guess we'll just have to wait some more. :-(

Anyone know how all this is playing out in the strongholds of the pious ignorant these days??? What new degrees of denial are being plumbed by the Dominionists and Theocrats of 'Murika to account for the monumental failures of Gawd's chosen preznit?

Can anybody here speculate or provide some insight? I'm up for a good laugh.

:-)

1. I expect they will move up the date, actually.
Wanted to hold it off as long as possible so corporations could rake in as many bucks as possible, but if the kid's tanking, better take the money and run.

2. Absolutely not - I've never been more scared than now

These guys are animals backed into a corner and it's only 8 months into the 2nd term.

Do you think they will just allow themselves to continue sinking at this rate w/out a fight? At this rate they will be in the freaking negatives w/in 18 months.

President Cheney will not give up his PNAC dreams.

The only thing they have is fear - w/out it they are nothing.

W/ that in mind - get ready for 911 part II.

It's their only way out - they've used it before and they are sinking at the speed of sound.

4. Hey Joe - don't bring everybody down!
LOL.

Now, that being said, the part about cornered animals is a sobering point. And sadly, you may be right.

I would like to hear how it's all actually being spun these days though...

5. I think one of his puppeteers better tell him
to stop saying "we're fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here". That is the last thing the wingers I know have to hold on to...

6. sadly, 911 part II is a very real concern...
they only have what got us into this mess in the first place, FEAR. It is a proven strategy that works for * and there's nothing else that will put the blinders back on many sheeple that are just beginning to wake up to reality.

3. he's running out of time to declare himself emperor
his numbers are going so low I think the sheeple will pickup pitchforks and torches if there is a mihop and resultant martial law to "protect our freedom".

I don't think that dog will hunt anymore...

9. I am so delighted that
no actual FEMA "drill"-homeland security- went bad(real) as quietly predicted on these kind of blogs. I am wondering how the Aug 17th, and also today's 22nd of August drills went. Does anyone know? One was supposed to be in Fort Monroe. Or maybe both were.
It scares me to think how trigger happy the Bushit's are towards Iran, and the rumors or solid facts of a sneak invasion. It scares me to think of how Chavez could embargo his oil, and the domino effect it would have on our country. By the way, I'm ignorant, what is Chavez mad about? Have we invaded them, too? I'm unclear on the facts!
But what really scares me folks, is the fact that part of Bush's summer reading list includes the history of the great FLU epidemic. BIOLOGICAL TERROR!!!
I keep hoping and praying that something will stop the insanity of this Bush and the neocons. Maybe the power of Cindy Sheehan in Crawford is more of a direct hit than we think.Go Cindy-YOU ROCK!!.... The gas prices are not helping the SHRUB one bit. If Iraq is about the oil, why are the prices climbing..I don't get it!!! ARGHH!!

13. What is Chavez mad about?
US involvement in a 2002 coup which deposed him for 24 hours. If his supporters in the army hadn't arrested the coupists he would probably be dead.

US backing for the very people who organised the coup continuing today via the NED etc.

Continuous unsupported smears from Rummy, Condi etc claiming that Chavez is authoritarian, a destabiliser etc.

10. The chosen ones
...are naked, apparently when wafted up in the "(C)rapture." Do you really want to see that? The one I saw whose bumper sticker said, "In case of The Rapture, this car will have no driver" (or something like that) weighed in at about 400 lbs. There'd have to be some pretty heavy duty wafting.
