Do Iraqis really give a rat's ass about what Americans think of their war?
Or more accurately--would wide popular support have any effect whatsoever on us "winning" or "losing"?

This spin that liberals are somehow undermining the war effort is insane...

1. Their war?
It's our war. Or I should say Bush's War.

3. I don't know
I get the impression from the Iraqi blogs online that they just want us to leave and don't want to hear that any Americans are sorry for all that's happened.

And they've all seen Fahrenheit 9/11. They all gather round the TV when they see Susan Sarandon and cheer.

Jeezus, could these idiots BE any more dense?

Look, I'll explain it to you freepers and Shrub-suckers, Very slowly.

Americans invaded their country. They killed thousands of Iraqi civilians. They imprisoned and tortured innocent people. They insulted, harassed and enraged thousands with their heavy-handed tactics. Hundreds are killed in car checkpoints and house raids.

The country is a mess. There is power for 8 hours a day, if you're lucky. Under Saddam, it was only off for a few hours a day. Raw sewage is running in the streets. Garbage is left uncollected.

Now, an American-approved Shi'ite leadership has been installed, creating their own police force and army. Sunnis have been left out of the process. The Kurds and the Shi'ites have control of the oil wealth of the country.

Now suppose you're a Sunni. You have no job, no political power, your children are hungry, your uncle is in an American jail for no apparent reason and your house has been sprayed with bullets for the third time now.

Doesn't the idea of of lashing out at someone come into your head?
