I am at times embarrassed by BOTH sides, outside of the area. There are problems in the Middle East that are very serious. Mister Klein though is actually saying that people ON THE GROUND are using false arguments to pull out? as much as I despise Ariel Sharon, methinks Ariel Sharon is far more knowledgeable of what is going on in the area than Mister Klein.

As a Jew I have reached a very sad conclusion... it is time for American Jews and American Arabs to step back and stop having an opinion, or go over there and live there. We have no moral grounds to speak any more, and until BOTH sides see the other as human we shall continue to have problems... to put it mildly

Now I will give you a solution, one that neither of your two guest may like.

1.- We need to stop enabling the conflict, that means both American Jews and American Palestinians must stop blindly supporting their side. This is not a bloody football game

2.- Both need to understand that the other side has had people killed in tragic circumstances. Yes grand mas and grand pas and kids have died, on BOTH SIDES.

3.- We have to stop refusing to see that the other side has a valid history.

4.- We need to start talking, for as amazing as it may sound, the only way to get this going towards peace is to see the humanity in the other side. Some of this is happening on the ground. Some IDF troops have refused to serve in the territories (Maybe Mister Klein should go over there and don the uniform)... Some Palestinians have condemned the attacks... and some have found a way to give wheelchairs to those ON BOTH SIDES that need them. Those are the baby steps, and it will take time. But both your guests must STOP demonizing the other side... the settlers are not being paid for a performance, for them this is a real disaster, nor are Israeli Kids not dying... and until BOTH see this... we shall continue to talk across each other.

Mike I suggest you invite the guy who wrote "War: A Force that Gives us Meaning," I think his name is Hodges. He will explain a lot of what is going on in detail.

Of course Rabbi Lerner would be a great guest too. He is progressive unlike Mister Klein.
