I just don't understand this logic
Edited on Mon Aug-22-05 10:00 PM by LoKnLoD
"Each of these men and women left grieving families and loved ones back home," Mr. Bush said here at the national convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. "Each of these heroes left a legacy that will allow generations of their fellow Americans to enjoy the blessings of liberty."

Then he said he would not bow to growing pressure to withdraw troops immediately from Iraq: "We owe them something. We will finish the task that they gave their lives for."

So we stay there and make more grieving families at the rate of two soldiers killed per day for the next four more years, and the new soldiers have to stay and die so the soldiers that died before them didn't die in vain. Why isn't some of our democratic leaders jumping all over this stupid logic coming from the WH.

EDIT I know he is a moron, by why aren't more of our leaders calling him out on this

3. This lunacy suggests that we owe more to the fallen
than to those who are yet to die in this insane war. The logic is madness in itself because it leads to death justifying death. How many mothers are comfortable with the idea that their son or daughter will die to make someone else's loss meaningful?

4. That's because the task isn't really defined
No plan has been devised on how and when the US leaves Iraq. So, finishing the job means nothing, since the job isn't defined. Is it freedom and democracy? If so, they seem to be moving in the wrong direction, anyway, how does one measure "freedom and Democracy" and what is "safe enough"?

5. We will stay the course. De-mock-racy is on the march. The seeds
of liberation have been sown.

Do not look for logic. It is rhetoric for the faithful and for those who are not capable of independent thought.

You are blessed that his spew does not make sense to you. It means your brain still works !!
