1. Yes, in fact they gave Clinton the plans for the attack....
but the papers got shoved under the desk in the Oval Office when he and Monica were going at it.

2. Say what?
I must have missed the :sarcasm: tag in your post.

Identifying a potential terrorist is not the same as receiving a report with a title indicating that Bin Laden was determined to attack within the United States. Richard Clarke has detailed how the * admin. took the info. it was given from the Clinton admin. about Bin Laden's organization and tossed it aside.

3. All in the name of self defense.
the * admin was too busy shredding the ABM Treaty, to get their Missile Defense Shield going. With a 10% success rate when it had the EXACT coordinates of the target. The * admin was trying to convince us to spend money on the concept of a bullet shooting a bullet out of the air. THAT'S what they thought was more important than terrorism.

You really dropped the ball on that one Chimpy.

4. The Presidential Daily Briefing (PDB) of August 6
Edited on Tue Aug-23-05 08:26 AM by SpiralHawk
Was headed: "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in the US"

George Bush ignored that and stayed on his vacation ranch for four more weeks.

Then came 9/11, when Bush was told twice that the USA was under attack, and then dawldled -- AWOL -- reading My Pet Goat and gladhanding the teachers for nearly 1/2 hour.

He was clearly warned, and clearly ignored it. Bush was AWOL in the hour of our national need for leadership. He flunks.

5. "He flunks" is a very kind way of putting it.
I'd put it far more strongly, myself, but words fail me when it comes to the depth of disgust I feel over his actions (or, rather, inaction).

10. And that's a best-case scenario
At best, our President is an apathetic, lazy moron whose incompetence is a danger to all Americans.

At best.

6. Remember what the Repukes were investigating in 2001?
What they sent all the law enforcement bodies after?

Presidential pardons

"trashing" the White House offices

Chandra Levy (wow - a non-blonde!)

Jim Jeffords

Sharks (okay, they didn't send the FBI, but it was the summer distraction)

The Summer of the Shark. Chandra Levy - Boy, THAT story went down The Memory Hole, didn't it?! So-called 'missing' w keys on keyboards in the WH. :eyes:

Stay tuned! Infotainment masquerading as news. At 11.

Unfortunately, not much has improved.

7. Shame on CNN for asking a simple-minded question about a matter...
that involves a great many unanswered questions.

8. They do seem to want an indication of public sentiment prior to facts
Maybe they'll use that to justify whether or not to pursue the story. I'm not holding my breathe, though. I can't remember them asking about the DSM. But I guess that wasn't ambiguous enough for them. They want something to manipulate.
