Pat Robertson - mainstream Republican
This idea of assassination is now a mainstream Republican idea. It wasn't that long ago that Republican icon Ann Coulter called for killing all the Muslim leaders & converting the masses to Christianity... wasn't it Republican radio host Michael Savage that wished somebody would get AIDS & die?... Sen. Phil Gramm wants America to get to the place where they hunt down liberals with dogs...

This is just par for the course.

3. I just don't understand how people who are comfortable hearing this
sort of thing can be so afraid of public education or labor unions.

7. well
If there are just a few rich elite, they can hire their own private security, and then truck in the unwashed masses to do their housework, cut their grass, paint the house, etc. and, they'll use their control of the media to keep everybody happy & sedated.

9. Well public education and labor union may (in their twisted minds)
Edited on Tue Aug-23-05 07:57 AM by Bassic
take something away from them. That's how neocons (and neoliberals, not to be confused with liberals) think. It's stupid, but it holds a lot of sway. Well stupidity always held a lot of sway with the human race. No way in Hell are we the mos intellingent species on this rock.

8. Ah no
He doesn't want to get liberals who own dogs he wants to get liberals using dogs. The quote is something along the lines of "We are going to keep building the Texas Republican Party until we are hunting them with dogs." Them being liberals.

I have a dog too, actually.

every time I hear somebody talk about outrageous stuff liberals do (wow, that Dick Durbin is so bad for comparing Gitmo to gulags!), I bring up a few choice quotes that I remember.

6. Pat Robertson, man of God, right wing crackpot, Bush lover
Wasn't he the one that God spoke to and said Bush would be re-elected in a landslide last year?

Democrats, you've got get out there and link Bush closely to Robertson.

Pictures, statements, news articles, anything to link these two morons.

12. In Rwanda...
...the radio talk show hosts that incited and directed violence were brought up on war crimes charges. I don't think Rush and Ann and Robertson deserve any less.

13. Terrorist threatening
is against the law, and what they say qualifies. Trying to get it enforced, when they control just about everything. . . exhausting.

15. They get off on that super secret covert military stuff
Why do you think the History channel exists?

Also, it was Robertson who sat and nodded as Falwell (two outstanding Virginians huh?) BLAMED AMERICA FOR 9/11 saying that it was due to the gays and loose morals and such. Pat just sat there nodding.

20. the thought of leaving him alone didn't cross his mind?
or maybe if we had actually supported the Kurds in their uprising back under Bush Sr., instead of turning out backs on them, things would have been different?

My point was, that if we keep repeating that Robertson is a "mainstream" Republican, it will sink in.
