"Because we're tired of dancing backwards."
I have a couople of photocopies of a large button from conference given to me by a dear friend, who died several years ago. That is the wording on it and those words curve around a ca. 1920s couple dancing the tango, with the woman's back foremost. I keep one at work and one at home. The conference took place in the early seventies and addressed women's issues.

Are we dancing backwards again? Do we have a strategy to stop the dance? Ladies? Gents?

1. Reminds me of the Ginger Rogers' quote:
"I do everything he does, except I can do it backwards and in high heels."
