My "Coward of Crawford" letter published

I'm surprised, as it was a little more strongly worded than my normal letters.

I hope the experience of Cindy Sheehan trying to meet the Coward of Crawford will serve as a wake-up call to Americans about the insidiousness of the right-wing corporate media machine. If you listen to the mainstream media, you would get an out-of-context quote from Matt Drudge that makes it looks like Sheehan loved Bush last year and now has flip-flopped. However, if you actually take time to read the whole article from last year, you will see that Sheehan decided to be polite and not to make a scene with Bush because there would be other moms in the meeting as well. She was strongly against Bush's war and Bush even at that first meeting, but decided to hold her tongue. However, as more of Bush's lies on Iraq are exposed, she has gotten angrier and is now being Swift Boated like John Kerry by using a badly out-of-context article to make it look like she changed her mind. Meanwhile, Bush gets a free pass for his monthly flipflops on the reason for invading Iraq.

It's not a big newspaper, but since I moved to eastern Connecticut a little over a year ago, I've tried to send letters in regularly.

When I first got to the area, it was only 1 non RWers defending Michael Moore's just released 'Fahrenheit 9/11' from a horde of RWers... so, I wrote in, got published and then got hooked into writing in at least weekly.
