Ok, ignorant question time. Re: Casey Sheehan
In all of this re: Casey Sheehan, I cannot recall if Cindy ever said if Casey was for the war, against it, or was indifferent.

Can someone help me out?

1. He was not indifferent. As I understand he reenlisted.
He was for the war.

unit..so many are getting neadlessly killed i think thay feel responsible some how.. maybe they are being brainwashed to return.. it is not a new phenomon..

I had a friend that was a Swift Boat squadron commander, he was on his 4 tour when they caught him... they asked him why kept coming back.. he said, "you assholes are going to put some idiot in charge of my men and get them killed, I have to take care of my men."

and he was the guy that could do it.

2. I thought he was against the war

I thought he was against the war, but reinlisted out a sense of duty to his unit. They disagreed about his re-enlistment. OF course this was what Cindy said.

5. Not sure
I seem to remember Cindy saying, when she offered to drive him to Canada rather than go to Iraq, that he had to go because of his buddies, that if he didn't go, someone else would have to (this seems to be a very common sentiment among the military. Regardless of their opinion of a particular war, they feel a great responsibility to go, because of their buddies.) I don't have any clear recollection of whether he was "for" or "against" the war; that did not seem to be the driving force for him in going to Iraq.

9. Thats what I remember
I don't recall her saying he disagreed with her on a fundamental level, also she could not deny him the position he took, which was noble and not contrary to her beliefs.

8. I think it's irrelevent
because at one point even Kerry was/is "for" the war.

It's only relevent if the person has complete, trustworthy info on which to make the judgement.

In other words, it doesn't make it ok for someone to die for a cause they believe in, if they were lied to about the cause.

10. According to Cindy, he was against the war
but he went because of his buddies. He said if he didn't go, someone else would have to do his job, and that wouldn't be fair to his buddies and potentially put them in harm's way.
