A TRUE Christian, even a deciple of Robertson, would condemn his
statement. How can you follow after someone who is so hateful and deceitful and has been for so long. He was a supporter of almost every evil regime on earth so long as it wasn't "communist." He hates communism for one reason only, under such a system he could not amass the fortune he has.

1. Even the Neo-Cons are distancing themselves from this idiot.
If they had any plans for Chavez, they are pretty much out the window now. Robertson is probably "Loose Cannon Number One" on Karl Rove's list right now.

2. Robertson's followers aren't TRUE
Christians. They're the product of too many generations of brother and sister marriages.

3. Did you see Candy Scowley on Ron Reagan's show??
Ron said 'who would Jesus kill'? and challenged that little nazi about Robertson's statements. She danced around it, refusing to condemn his statement. Instead, she said that there were actually more harmful dictators out there, so she was surprised that Robertson didn't mention them!!

I was just furious. So add Scowley to the list of domestic terrorists.

7. Well, I'm a true Christian, and I DO condemn it.
Edited on Tue Aug-23-05 05:51 PM by Bush_Eats_Beef
Saying that someone is "Christian" is like saying someone is "male," "female," "Caucasian," "Asian," "African-American," "Straight," "Gay"...what the hell does that MEAN, anyway. It's a LABEL. You CANNOT label people. They DO NOT come off of an assembly line.

Anyone who starts sentences with:

"Christians are..."

"Men are..."

"Women are..."

"Caucasians are..."

"Asians are..."

"African-Americans are..."

"Straight people are..."

"Gay people are..."

...is a fucking IDIOT, a BIGOT, or BOTH.

MY GOD is NOT George W. Bush's God.

MY GOD is NOT Pat Robertson's God, Jerry Falwell's God, Fred Phelps' God...

:grr:

8. You shall know them by their works.
How could anyone call for assassination of a public figure (and for purely political reasons no less) and claim to worship the same Jesus who put the ear back on the Roman soldier? And how does calling for an assassination keep the Sabbath holy?

11. You answered your own question with one word.
"claim."

"How could anyone call for assassination of a public figure (and for purely political reasons no less) and claim to worship the same Jesus who put the ear back on the Roman soldier?"

That's all these BASTARDS are doing...making a FALSE CLAIM.

You know, folks, I am a Christian because that is the choice I've made in my life. To anyone reading this, if you haven't made the same choice, that's OK by me...I respect whatever is right for your life.

But the ONE THING I wish DU would really understand...and some people DO, while others DO NOT...is that when George W. Bush and all of the rest are flaunting their "Christianity," it angers me in a way that I can't even put into words. THEY DO NOT SPEAK FOR ME.

And I got my B.S. degree in English from San Jose State, so I am SELDOM at a "loss for words."

Robert shake n causes stir a

Pat Robertson’s efforts to profit from his weight-loss shake have managed to alienate a bodybuilder, who is one of the formula’s biggest success stories, and draw fire from an evangelical watchdog group.

A multimillionaire religious broadcaster and former presidential candidate, Robertson added “health-food promoter” to his wide-ranging resume when he introduced “Pat’s Age-Defying Shake” to viewers in August 2001.

<snip>

Isakoff wrote that Busch was never offered an endorsement contract by Robertson or CBN. He said Robertson licensed his name and shake recipe to Basic Organics Inc., a Columbus, Ohio-based manufacturer that produces the product and distributes it in GNC stores.

“Dr. Robertson, as a private individual, certainly has the right to engage in personal business ventures,” Isakoff wrote.

<snip>.

The commercialization of Robertson’s shake drew fire from the Trinity Foundation, a Dallas-based religious media watchdog organization. Trinity has been critical of past Robertson business ventures, such as his African gold and diamond mines and Kalo-Vita, a multilevel marketing company that sold vitamins and cosmetics.

Ole Anthony, Trinity’s president, said Robertson improperly used his taxexempt, nonprofit ministry to create a market for his shake.

“It wouldn’t exist unless it was promoted on the donorpaid-for airtime,” he said.
