Why I do this to myself I dont know, but I do it all the time. I almost lost my mind! Savage is a complete and total DOUCHE BAG. I couldnt believe my own ears....not for a second did I think I would turn on ANY form of media and hear ANYONE supporting that absolute nightmare Pat Robertson. but alas, the conservative right never lets me down. Caller after caller supported Robertson, and one was even genius enough to point out that if "Bush really does take out Chavez (whom they refer to as an Islamo-fascist) then everyone will think he's nothing but a pawn to the Christian right." Well here's some news.......BUSH IS NOTHING BUT A PAWN TO THE CHRISTIAN RIGHT~!!!!!!! Holy SHIT.......my damn head is gonna rocket off my shoulders like the space shuttle. Savage then went on to make the remarkable statement that he would rather have "the Christian right whispering into Bush's ear than the LIBERAL FASCISTS"(re. you and me). What the hell has happened in this country??? Its like that movie "28 Days Later" is happening for real....everyone has been taken over by a virus that turns them into man eating zombies and only a few uninfected survive in the courty. I want to know....Bush is always talking about being so tough on terrorism, so why hasnt Robertson been arrested for making terroristic threats???? If I had said about BUSH what that idiot said about Chavez, I'd have been arrested YESTERDAY. The Vice President of Venezuala said this is the time for Bush to test how serious he is about terrorism and to arrest Robertson. Bet ya NOTHING happens to him. NOTHING. :rant:

The Robertson spectacle seems to just be picking up steam actually.

Hardball and Countdown both had big segments on it with everyone outraged and saying the WH is going to have to come out with more then the lame response they gave today.

Someone said that Bush needs to make a statement himself. This is going to be a big deal all around the world in the Middle East, and in South and Central America. A very bad blunder and it will be the first test for Karen Hughes. So far, her reaction has been quite crappy.

It always takes a couple of days for these stories to really reach a full boil.

No one seemed to know how the rest of the world was playing this yet but they were worried about Al Jazera (sp?), etc. Once Al Jazera and the rest of the world are running with the story, that will add fuel to the story here. They mentioned the FCC penalties, resigning his religious position, etc.

On Hardball, Matthews kept pointing out that Robertson graduated from Yale Law School so he should know it is against the law.

I haven't heard anyone explicitly mention potential charges or the penalties. I'm sure we will though. Maybe that will be what all the news channels focus on tomorrow. :evilgrin:
