3. Very graphic-exactly what the world needs to see
I'm tired of having these atrocities glossed over.People need to see the ugliness of this horrible crime against humanity.one of those pictures could have easily been my kid.

4. very graphic - but neccessary
If all in the US saw these, then we'd gain more support for the anti-war movement.

Disgusting! I hope George and Barbara's "beautiful minds" don't have to look at this. NOT!

Show it to the people. Vote it up.

No one should have to see this. But we do, don't we. Thank you George W. Bush. Killer.

8. I'm afraid to cry - if I start I won't be able to stop.
These images are the reality of this barbaric disaster. I'm speechless at the horror of it all.

9. That's rough
Very Very Rough.

Sober reminder of what we have turned into a video arcade.

Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes...known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few…No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare.
– James Madison, Political Observations, 1795

11. The tide is turning...
I assume that most major media outlets have pictures like these--and probably even some that are more graphic and disturbing.

Salon decided to publish these now because it is ok to criticize the war now. Public support for the war has eroded, the majority of the country does not agree with Bush's handling of the war--and Cindy Sheehan has helped other protesters come out of the woodwork.

I really think that the tide is turning totally against this war.

I hope and pray that other media outlets climb on board into reality--and begin reporting the truth as well.

America has had enough of the media aiding and abetting this lie-based war--by keeping it hidden.

15. for me it was that little girl
she looked like she was just sleeping.

Her death, like so many thousands of deaths in this war of choice, was UNNECESSARY.

Some things are just beyond tears.

17. More pics.
If you really do want to be informed, spend some time and some tears cruising through the many images of Dahr Jamail, an Alaskan freelance journo.

http://dahrjamailiraq.com/gallery/

If you haven't been to his site before, also read his reports and despatches. Shocking truths delivered from the war zone without gov't editing/spin. Frightful stuff.

Cheers

19. Meanwhile in Bushland...
From Bush's speech to the veterans the other day:

Our enemies have no regard for human life. They're trying to hijack a great religion to justify a dark vision that rejects freedom and tolerance and dissent.
(...)
They kill the innocent. They kill women and children knowing that the images of their brutality will horrify civilized peoples.

The people in those pictures were *not* killed by "terrorists" or insurgents.
