Pat Robertson: Harmless Kook, or Dangerous Maniac?
should we just laugh at yet another obscenity ejaculated from brother pat's mouth? he's such a great source of comedy and ridicule.

or should we be genuinely frightened by him and his fanatical devotees?

1. Or, a tool for Rove/the misadministration to create another diversion
from Plame/Rovegate?? Part of me thinks that the misadmin must jump with glee when they get bumped off of the MSM news focus. just wondering, that's all....

3. He is dangerous not because he will pick up a bazooka and ...
starting firing away, it is because members of his sect will feel emboldened to continue their stupidity, which might include picking up a bazooka and firing away at the unbelievers.

Unbelievers, gee isn't that what radical Muslims call non Muslims?

2. A harmless kook doesn't have hundreds-of-thousands of followers...
...so that makes him a dangerous maniac.

The very definition of a Christo-fascist.

6. I am with you on this
For the life of me I do not understand why so many people go along with this as we came from an Age of Reason. Rousseau and Locke must be spinning in their grave along with Jefferson and Adams.

10. He's NOT a harmless kook.
He's amassed a fortune over the years. His holdings and that of his ministry are enormous. He has a lot of money at his disposal. And he has a significant base of supporters. And entree into the Oval Office itself.

This is NOT some wacky "kook" we can sit back and laugh at.

11. He provides a window into what they are actually thinking.....
Does anyone doubt that there are contingency plans ( and maybe more than that) to do to Chavez exactly what Robertson advocated?

In a way, this jackass is performing a public service in spite of himself.

BTW, in all of the coverage, why is the fact that Chavez was (twice) ELECTED never( ok, *rarely*)mentioned?
