You know what pisses me off the most about this war?
First, of course, is the needless death of nearly 2000 Americans, and who knows how many Iraqis.

But second is the fact that none of this is surprising at all. In the winter of 2003, anti-war Americans said all these things would happen. There would be no WMDs. The Iraqis would resent the invasion. Terrorism would continue. Yet the media and most of the populace react like small children, taking so long to recognize the difference between reality and fiction, holding out every last hope that their father figure the Presnit was right after all.

How much longer does the dying need to go on before the scales fall from everyone's eyes? It's taking far too long.

1. I remember hearing ...
some AWOL official (Rumsfield I think), right after Baghdad fell early in the war. I paraphrase.

"It is amazing how so many people were so wrong about so much".
He is obviously referring to the anti-war movement.

It is ironic how "ironic" this statement is

I'd like to see this played over and over.

anyone have a video of this ?

Cheers
Drifter

3. I'm not unpatriotic, anti-American, or
a fringe lunatic, and we're not a small focus group, but I'll go along with being called a bush-hater....

4. Belated welcome, Justyce! Bush** referred to the millions protesting
the war around the globe as a focus group. The rwingnut pundits and footsoldiers called us all of the other stuff, and I didn't even begin to honestly hate Dimson** until after this.

Delusional, eh? :hi:

5. Thanks, I've been here since
last October before the election -- I just don't post much... I'm usually more of a lurker :)
