Katharine DeBrecht is the pen name for a mother of three. A freelance newspaper reporter who previously worked in Washington, D.C., she is a member of the South Carolina Federation of Republican Women and served as that state's co-captain of "Security Moms for Bush." What I find incredible about this book is the idea that small business paying taxes is somehow wrong. I just don't understand it.

What I also don't understand is how MY small business (10 years old this fall) pays MORE in taxes than IBM! What galls me is that IBM paid ZERO tax for several years in a row. Some of the 'top companies in America' actually get 'tax refunds'!

I'm proud that my small business pays taxes. My small business supports 'America'! My small business pays its fair share and isn't being rewarded for shipping jobs to India and Communist China.

My small business isn't coming to the Treasury Department with its hand out for taking part in a war of lies and sending billions to some off shore bank so that I can buy helicopters and yachts and raise spoiled rich white trash children like Paris Hilton who will never know the real value of being a citizen and 'belonging' to a nation!

'We are all in this together' has turned tragically into 'Screw you, I got your social security money'. America is being ridden into Despotism as if it was being ridden in a parade!

Eventually the piper must be paid. Get ready. The bill is about to be delivered...

seriously. what a weird book for kids. Fine for adults, no problem with that, but 4-8 year olds? sad sad sad...

ps-my name and "tag" were just so you could say, "see?! those danged liberals!" but really, I'm not a democrat nor a liberal. I just call things as they are. This is a bad book. straigh out. Nothing redeeming at all... I guess the liberals have the corner on the market for creativity, coz if this is any indication of the creativity of conservatives, yikes!

This is the 2nd book I ever read,.. but o'course,...I'm still working on My Pet Goat - September 11,.. well, ...it just threw me off a wee bit.

But growings up, me'pappy used to say,

"George, them liberals jest spend spend spend, en they just create huge deficits and take away jobs,..adn you know what,... they all wants'ta nation build."

Well HEYll! You make sure you put Cheney or that Robertson feller under you bed at night fer a goods night bedtime story, Ya'hear!"
