4. Birth leads to death
100 percent of participants in a recent survey of people born in 1880 that had born were found to have died.

6. Is that really the title of the article you tried to link to?
If so it is as bad as the link!

There is NO PROOF that daydreaming causes Alzheimer's, rather, they are simply saying there is a link between the area of the brain used in musings and daydreaming as the one affected by Alzheimer's later in life. For all they know, it is those of us with active minds and fanciful thoughts who protect our brains from degeneration due to Alzheimer's, later on in life, rather than the opposite way around.

It's either use it, lose it or the other way around and they don't know which.... yet.

13. Exactly what I think :-)
I mean, how else could it make any sense when considering that they tout continued mental exercises as a deterrent to dementia in the elderly.

Now they want to tell us that this increased mental activity, during the younger years, may lead to Alzheimer's?? Or not?? I say "or not!"

But really, nothing to be concerned about with this study. All it says is that Alzheimer's affects the part of the brain daydreams and muses, not whether or not daydreaming and musing causes Alzheimer's or the lack thereof!

10. I thought I heard this is treatable with stem cells
http://www.lifesite.net/ldn/2005/feb/05021405.html

ORLANDO/ GWANGJU, February 14, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A research team led by University of Central Florida professor Kiminobu Sugaya has discovered a compound related to DNA that could improve the results of stem cell treatments for Alzheimer’s patients. The research team found that treating bone marrow cells with the compound made adult stem cells more likely to turn into brain cells in experiments with rats.

The findings are to be published in the March edition of Restorative Neurology and Neuroscience journal. Professor Kiminobu Sugaya said, “By using a patient’s own stem cells instead of embryonic stem cells, we’re able to avoid the ethical concerns many people have about stem cell research.”

And I do not intend to poke fun at those who suffer from this horrible affliction -- it's a living hell to forget who your loved ones are, who you are, where you are, etc.

I have personally known family friends who've been struck down by
Alzheimer's Disease, and it is always unrelentingly grim.

All that said, I do a **ton** of daydreaming -- always have. :scared:

In the last 100 years there has been an increase in global warming. And in the last 100 years women's shoe sizes have gotten bigger.
Does this show that global warming causes women's feet to get bigger?
