Soldier who captured Saddam says "Pull Troops Out Now."
Keith Olbermann had Spc. Jeans Cruz (one of the soldiers who pulled Saddam out of his hidey-hole) as a guest tonight. Here is partial a transcript of the conversation:

KO: "We now have in this country what we certainly didn't have when you left for Iraq, or even when you got back; a very loud debate on how much longer we should stay in this country. <snip> What do you think?"

JC: "To be honest, it's time to pull out now. As you said, no on needs to die for others who have died. <snip> We do not need to sacrifice more people."

Try to catch the rerun tonight. It's a great interview. BTW, this soldier, this hero, is out of a job. Yep, that's right. The man who helped capture Saddam is unemployed.

So, if they don't die in the war, they can't find work when they come home. Good job George W. Bush!

While the man who made him this way takes his precious pillow and sleeps like a baby every night.

14.  Ex-Marine Says Public Version of Saddam Capture Fiction
This was reported in March of this year. He says pretty much everything was created for the media effect and that even the date was a lie.

"I was among the 20-man unit, including eight of Arab descent, who searched for Saddam for three days in the area of Dour near Tikrit, and we found him in a modest home in a small village and not in a hole as announced," Abou Rabeh said.

"We captured him after fierce resistance during which a Marine of Sudanese origin was killed," he said.

He said Saddam himself fired at them with a gun from the window of a room on the second floor. Then they shouted at him in Arabic: "You have to surrender. ... There is no point in resisting."

"Later on, a military production team fabricated the film of Saddam's capture in a hole, which was in fact a deserted well," Abou Rabeh said.

8. Why does Jeane Cruz hate America?
He's undermining the moral of the troops. He's anti American. He's unpatriotic. It was all staged! He took the credit for other good kool aid drinkers pulling Saddam out.

saying get out now. KO also exposed Pat Roberson lie about never calling for an assassination, he showed a clip of him saying exactly that. I hope Mr. Cruz is ready for the right wing attack machine tomorrow, he will probably be called a homosexual and a traitor.

13. Personally, I don't think his role in Saddam's capture adds anything
to the fact that as an Iraq veteran he is calling for an end to the occupation.

Feel free to piss all over me. But really, believing that his role in capturing Saddam somehow makes his a more important voice of opposition than any other Iraq veteran makes no sense to me.

Of course it would make no differnce to you and rightly so!

This will however mean something to those who support Lil Boots and his wacky empire ideals.

They will find it very difficult to wrap their little heads around the conflicting message.

Saddam = Very Bad Man

Soldier who captured Saddam = Very Good Man

Micheal Moore = Very, Very Bad man

Soldier agrees with Micheal Moore

Heads begin to explode. :nuke:

Yep, we support our troops -- as long as they don't need anything beyond a yellow ribbon!

I am so sick, sick, sick of this administration & the death & devastation they are spreading & their arrogant 'you can't touch us' attitude.

19. Yep. Back from war and can't find a job. Shades of 'Nam
anyone? But this time it's a bit different. The people are supportig the troops but it's the administration that's spitting on them. Well, OK, the administration did that to the troops in 'Nam too but this administration is a lot worse and a lot more blatant about it.

24. Just saw Spc Jeans Cruz on Midnight Rerun
Edited on Wed Aug-24-05 11:20 PM by RamboLiberal
I let out a big whoa! Cruz was a security guard at the WTC on 9-11. That gives him triple points to comment IMHO.

I think the returning troops may be a big downfall for Bushco as they tell what they truly feel like Spc Jeans Cruz. Some of these troops are writing or have written books telling the real story as well.

I'm reading one now by a female enlisted soldier who was with the 101st in Military Intelligence. She was an interpreter. She is vehemently anti this war and says we were lied to. She also confirms that the same crap that occurred at Abu Ghraib was going on in other Iraqi prisons as well. She was called in to do one interrogation on a naked Iraqi - ridicule his privates, etc. She was disgusted by it, said it didn't work and was a violation of the Geneva Conventions and refused to do it again.

Read the book, the lady is a kindred spirit, former punk rocker, etc. Book is called "I Love My Rifle More Than You".

26. Good for him.
Good for Spc. Cruz for speaking out with the TRUTH. He's what I consider a true patriot.

I hope after his televised interview, somebody will be able to offer him a job. This administration should be ashamed of itself for not providing our troops with help upon their return. Selfish bastards.
