Badr Corps now acting in Bush's name but for Iran's benefit
Just thought I'd mention this point here for, well, general discussion. ...Because Bush wants a constitution passed, what the Badr Corps is doing - cracking down on Sadrists and Sunnis so as to impede those factions from effectively voting in the Oct 15 referendum against the new constitution, particularly in Bagdhad Province - is using brownshirt style, union-busting style tactics to break up the political opposition. Bush wants his Iraqi constitution so badly that Badr can hardly be faulted for believing - or at least benefiting from the rest of Iraq believing - that what Badr is doing is in Bush's name with his green light and arm's length approval.

But, we all know that Badr is really working for Iran here. So what Badr does to enhance Iran's strategic position, gets to be blamed on Bush because of the geniuses in his administration (like oh, Condi Rice) who have put America in this position.

If anyone knows of a way the US administration could have messed this up even more, at least, from a strategic point of view, go ahead - try and convince me. I dare you.
