"America lives in freedom because of families like the Pruitts"
and what kind of families are those, Mr. Bush?

And is Bush's own family in that class?

1. The only reason Casey Sheehan
went to Iraq was to pad his resume to run for political office. His spillage of blood and loss of life don't count to george bush. When the Pruitts start receiving body bags filled with the slaughtered remains of their sons we'll check in with them to see if the support is waning.

2. Can they not find a family who has lost a member to the war?
It's comparing apples to oranges. Cindy's son is never coming back. So far this is not the case for the Pruitt family. Do American's see that this is an insane comparison?

3. Send your own family, Mr. Bush
Back up your words with action, for a change. If you REALLY believe that dying for this war is a noble cause, you'll send your girls.

4. If you think the troops are in trouble now, wait until Jenna and Barbara
show up. Then we'll know we're really in trouble.

5. This hasn't worked since the 50's
Conservatives are living in the age of innocence. The rest of us grew up.

6. Lay off the Pruitts
Trust me you don't want to go down that road. They do what they do and believe what they believe but they DO stand up and serve.

8. I agree
I'm sure Cindy Sheehan will not have a bad word to say about the Pruitts, and neither do I.

But what is the distinction Bush is making? Which are the good families and which are the bad ones?

Pick a side and once you are on his side you must do everything he tells you to.

10. I'm not against them, just against them being used and held up as some
kind of paradigm of perfect virtue thereby leaving the implication that Casey Sheehan and his family are not.

I myself come from a whole family of service and have NOTHING but the greatest respect for those who have and do, but a strong arm needs an equal conscience. Cindy has become the collective conscience that dares to ask why.

13. I know
W himself is a prop. A prop USING a prop.

Notice that no one points out the obvious use of the Pruitts in an exploitive manner? Has anyone found any relatives of the Pruitts who know W lied his way into this war? Is there really a free press anymore?

7. So * approves of only half the soldiers, maybe 3/4
of the soldiers in the military. They don't tell you the Pruitts dad is like a colonel or something, he is high up in the command and that is why the boys are like that. My Ex is looking to be promoted to General any day now and our Son is like him and is going to Baghdad. When the man of the family is so gun-ho about the military, of course the boys will grow up to be soldiers.....

9. And the famlies of the dead? And Casey Sheehan?
Strange how Bush may dishonor the sacrafices of the dead, but we must not by our "political" actions?
