* not on vacation...White House is being "renovated"
http://politicalwire.com/archives/2005/08/25/white_house_denies_bush_is_on_vacation.html

The White House seems to be a little defensive about President Bush's summer vacation. According to the San Bernardino Sun, a spokesman insisted "the reason that Bush is in Crawford, Texas, is due to the renovation of the West Wing of the White House."

Said the spokesman: "He's operating on a full schedule; he's just doing it from the ranch instead of from the White House. The only week he had officially off was this last week."

Whether he's on vacation or just away, USA Today notes he's been "shadowed by anti-war demonstrators" the entire time.

"do you think we're retarded?"

So why all this fuss about *'s summer reading list if it wasn't a vacation. And I remember the early august stories about the little sack of shit saying he was looking forward to taking it easy.

Swine. Apologies to the swine.

And it was raining when he fell off his bike, too! We've heard the position of the meteorologists who say that it was sunny and dry that day. They have a right to their opinion. We just disagree with it.

53. I remember that!
In fact, I was curious about that at the time, so I did a little digging on the internetS about Crawford, TX weather... and at no time in the preceding 10 days had Crawford had a drop of rain! In fact, it was sunny and in the 80's every single day for about two weeks.

My reaction at the time : I knew they were liars, but to even attempt to lie about the weather (something that is easily checked)... what kind of minds come up with this shit?

6. President Clinton moved into Blair House
The official white house visitor residence in Washington when extensive renovations were being done on the White House. The house is available to bush and he could stay in Washington and tend to the nations business (horrible thought). Fuck you conservatives, try spinning again.

while the White House air conditioning was being repaired. I think it was in 98. The executive branch continued operating with the Chief Executive fulfilling his duties.

August 24

Residents of nearby Riesel traveled to Crawford today to warn President Bush that his
health, and the health of other Texans, will be affected by six new coal-fired power plants
proposed for Central Texas. One of the proposed new plants would be located in Riesel,
only 30 miles from the Bush ranch.

30. What happened? At the beginning of the month...
...it was "his tradition" to take August off every year. Now they deny saying that? Robertson denies saying he called for an assassination, Limbaugh denies calling Cindy Sheehan "Bill Burkett--her story is all forged documents"...what's next?

Can't these rightwing people stop lying long enough to stand by anything they said? Oh, yeah...that question supplies its own answer. Never mind.
