Orrin Hatch calls me a nutcake...
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=98536

Mayor Rocky Anderson says Sen. Orrin Hatch should apologize for calling Monday's Bush protesters "nutcakes."

Hatch said, "If any apology must be given, it should come from Mayor Anderson to the president and Mrs. Bush."

Speaking with KSL-TV Monday about the protest, Hatch said, "You're always going to have nutcakes out there, no matter what you do."

I just had to send him a nice letter:

I read on KSL.com today that you said the protesters from Monday were "nutcakes". I certainly hope they took your statement out of context, or your misspoke. To call a couple thousands of your constituents a nutcake is not a good way to endear yourself to the Americans who put you in office with their votes. I was at the protest, a very peaceful gathering, no violence at all. I found the speakers knowledgeable and inspiring. So I guess that makes me a nutcake? I have a job, I own a home, I pay my taxes, I bring my children up with morals and values, I donate to charities and church, I am just not happy that we are involved in a war with a country that was not involved in 9/11 or did not have any WMDs. So as one of the Utahans and Americans that you insulted, I would just like you to know that I thought you were a better man than that.

to protest the relative peace and economic stability we had during the Clinton years? There's some no matter what you do. :sarcasm:

8. Gee is it any suprise that the
Move America Foward people were the PR firm that handled Hatch's bid for the Presidency in 2000?

9. Congratulations, you've made Mr. Hatch lose his cool!
There is nothing better (well, there are a few things ,) than making a Republican so angry he can't think of the ramifications of insulting a couple thousand of his constituents.

John Carlson of KVI-AM in Seattle once called me a "radical paranoid feminist". I want it carved on my gravestone.

12. Paranoia is defined
as an imaginary fear that they're out to get you. If they're really out there then it's not paranoia any more. Tell them that

11. the world has turned upside down
why is it that people like you are being demonized, while people that
outed a CIA agent are being excused, they really didn't do anything
wrong, etc. We live in difficult times.
