ABC"News"Radio's spin on Traitorgate
ABCNewsRadio--the propoganda machine that hosts the likes of Limblob, Shanty, Elder, et al--had a lesser-known host take on a half hour of Traitorgate this morning.

They are trying to diminish the charges based on the fact that Wilson is "partisan". Never mind that he contributed to the Bush campaign in 2000 and never mind that a serious law was broken in this treasonous act.

They are now hinging the seriousness of this leak on the intent of the leaker. If the leaker didn't intend to out the agent when the leak occurred, then it's not a violation of the law.

With Bush emphatically stating "No" to direct questions by reporters whether it was Rove who leaked the information, and Wilson claiming that several media sources talked to Rove directly about the issue, it will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

1. Listening to the Enemy
ABC NewsRadio--the same station that, several months ago, ran hourly news lead-ins about JFK's affair 40 years ago--is not even mentioning TreasonGate at all today.

Rush, from their pulpit, is happily using his air time to defend his racism and the stories being heavily reported today are a minor garbage strike and Bush's signing off for $30 million (billion?) for homeland security to fight "terrorism".

This is absolutely disgusting. And for those who think ABC is "OK" as I've heard here before, I think it's time to begin looking at the influence of television vs. talk radio. In my opinion, talk radio is far more influential and that's where ABC does their most biased programming.

I just hope we get to change the rules regarding ownership. It should be the top priority of the next president.

2. Never mind that they refer to him as "Ambassador Wilson" b/c Bushsr
appointed him as Ambassador to Iraq (he was the ambassador to Iraq at the beginning of the Gulf War).

April Glaspie was the Ambassador to Iraq at the beginning of the Gulf War. Wilson was the chargé d'affaires in Bagdad.
