Mayor Bloomberg - opinions?
What do you guys think about him? I mean he's a Republican, but he's not fascist like our WH crew (at least I don't think so). His education plan seems to be working at it does make sense to me. Though proposing spending all that money for that olympic stadium was stupid. Anyways, what are NYCers's opinions on him?

1. I'm against him. He's banning protestors from using the
Great Lawn in Central Park, arguing that they might damage the grass.

There were also mass arrests of innocent people during the RNC under Mayor Bloomberg.

3. He's a complete assclown
and he makes me ashamed to have been born in NYC. Another republican billionaire frat boy who's also an ex-smoker and has the typical evangelical zeal of one, a zeal that had led him to raise the taxes on cigarettes to over $7.50 a pack within the city limits, which is just going to make people buy their smokes outside of the city and killing the goose that laid the golden egg.

I wish he would just die and leave the human race alone.

4. He's a corporate PIG...
I live just outside of NYC (Yonkers), and my impression is that it's all about the money for him. I don't think he's done a 'disastrous' job, yet he seems to have it out for the little guy. Things like enforcing parking regulations on Sunday and such seem to be squeezing money from underprivileged and unfortunates... Another thing that is pretty crumby is the cost of public transportation has climbed out of hand, and the MTA seems corrupt, inept, or both.
