4. Actually they DID influence the election. They witheld information that

would have made for a more informed citizenry, so their inaction = bush* support.

The claim to not want to influence an election is ridiculous, if they run the story, maybe it does, maybe it doesn't cost bush* some votes, but by NOT running it, it certainly HELPED bush* to not have to answer yet another scandal at a crucial point.
