MSNBC is a frigging waste of time ...
... about now. The deep-throated Rita Crosby's show just sucks. So bad. It soudns like they are in major CYA mode for their visit to the jail in Aruba; meanwhile the whole Ghoddamned world is falling apart and they run insipid crap like this.

No disrespect to Natalee Holloway and her family, but this is the kind of story that used to be a local one. It just doesn't seem to merit the coverage it's getting. Where the hell is the press these days???

1. How do you like Keith Olbermann and the new "Worst Person in the World"
feature?

2. I like Olbermann okay ...
... it's mostly the crap that follows him every evening. I should have mentioned that in my original post. Of course that show with Ron Reagan and whatsername is rather wretched.

11. He's at least somewhat tolerable.
But the RWer on with him works damn hard to push her biased viewpoint.

13. I agree
Can't stand Monica Crowley. She was espcially bad when they were talking about Cindy. She's just another blond brainless repub.

3. If these crappy media people
were to put the same spotlight on the 2+ billion dollars (in cash) that's gone missing in Iraq, the American people might be in a tither wondering what happened to THEIR tax dollars.

15. There was one GAO report which said $8.8 billion is unaccounted for,
but that doesn't include all the overcharges by Halliburton.

We're getting ripped off out of a lot more than $8.8 billion.

22. As I understand it,
a load of cash (so heavy, a forklift to load and unload the money was needed) was sent to Iraq for bribes and the like. So far, no one has accounted for the whereabouts of that money.

4. Why Do You Continue Watching?
Do you have a life? I mean that in the most polite way. Do you have other cable channels? I have over 100, so there is usually SOMETHING else I could watch. Heck, I could watch the scrolling channel guide if I really wanted to bored, and nothing else was on.

With the exception of Countdown, I don't see anything worth watching on MSM, ESPECIALLY the cable networks. All a bunch of pretty faces I'm beginning to realize. Crosby, Cosby....whatever the hell her name is.....her voice is just so hoarse and difficult to listen to, who was the idiot that gave her a 1 hour prime time show? Probably the same schmuck who hired Tucker Carlson.

5. All members of the press...
were killed in 2001 and replaced with smiling talking cyborgs.

Its the only explanation I can really wrap my mind around.

What's the alternative? Actually believing that they're all spineless puppets of a massive corporate conspiracy to control the thoughts and actions of a large portion of the American population to acheive a plan to bankrupt America, forcing it to turn to corporations for a bail out and at the same time grabbing control of the planet's major oil reserves?

I'll stay with the cyborg idea.

12. If there was an alternative, I'd probably look into it.
I'm addicted to information, and would rather have too much than not enough to sift through.

20. You can help create a free alternative.
Just sign-up for email updates from "Independent World Television" planned for 2007 (advisors include Janeane Garofalo of "Air America Radio" and Lewis Lapham of "Harpers Magazine.")

A bigger email list will hope IWT negotiate with businesses.

Then in 2007, you can watch IWT on the web for free.

21. I choose not to pay for them to lie to me and piss me off....
....it's free tv and the internets only for me...the only way to hurt them and get any point across is to take away their profit margins...anything less is pissin' in the wind my friend. :hi:

17. Matthews had a pretty good show tonite
Hackett was on, along with some other guy that wrote an anti-Bush book.

They were talking about how to get out of Iraq. Hackett was a little nervous saying - go right now. But then this other guy agreed with him.
Hackett looked relieved.

I really really really like Hackett.

Matthews also tried to pin Hackett down about running for senate.
Hackett wouldn't play the game. He better! How else are we going to get him as Pres???
