I got home later than usual tonight, and it was about 8 pm or so when they called. I was right at the point where the spaghetti dinner I was making was ready and I had to empty the spaghetti water, blah blah blah, so I was kinda busy. But getting a call from the NRA doesn't happen to me everyday so I listened a few seconds to their schpiel about some new law that has to do with gun ownership ....and I just couldn't stop myself. I don't know what came over me. I could have just hung up. I could have just said "no thank you". But I tore into the guy about how I hate the NRA for supporting Bush and the whole assault weapons ban thing and the guy tried to talk but I didn't let him get a word in edgewise and finally he just hung up.

It was the best spaghetti dinner I've had in a looong time. :bounce:

I have nothing against gun ownership at all.

Some people might say I should have listened to what he had to say, and I'll admit that I didn't listen long enough to hear his point, but something just came over me. Call it - inspiration from Cindy Sheehan. Call it - pissed off at the whole administration and all those who support it. But when I heard NRA I immediately thought of Bush supports and I just SNAPPED! :crazy:

I get calls all the time from people wanting me to refinance. They all have got their script down pretty well. "How much are you paying on your mortgage?" "Don't have one." "Well, let's talk about your credit cards.""Don't have any creditcard debt.".....(pause)...."so what else do you what to talk about?" Amazing how quick those calls are now.
