"Able Danger" whistleblower says HE is being "SwiftBoated"

http://www.wtopnews.com/?sid=558226&nid=251

WASHINGTON - The primary whistleblower who says a secret military intelligence unit identified Mohamed Atta as a terrorist a year before the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks is coming forward to say the the Pentagon and Sept. 11 commission have tried to discredit him.

Shaffer says the problem is not coming from military brass.

"Every time I've talked to the Army they've said tell the truth. There have been other conversations that I have had with other elements of DoD, and I think you all have seen some of this in the press where there was a whisper campaign and some other not so subtle means of dissuasion -- kind of put out there to wave people off this."

2. This looks like a Karl Rove produced fantasy (I mean
this whole able-danger crap). It always amazes me how as soon as Bushco numbers go south they have a story in the wings of how Clinton fucked it up.
God almight I wish Big Dog was back.

3. a computer program was supposed to stop 9/11??
this is alot of fuss for a computer program that looked at credit card records, purchases and other personal information of people in the US trying to find linkages and connections

what will they do when the terrorists only use cash?

and besides, the FBI had identified one of the hijackers going to a flight school and that whistle blower agent in MN has made a big fuss about that and is running for congress last I checked.

and lastly, able danger was cancelled in February 2001 by Bush. so what the fuck

5. I know I saw that yesterday
Very good. I kicked it.

I (hope and pray) that this does come back to bite them in the arse as their contrived version of the Oil for Food "scandal" should have (had the American press repeated their ignorant attempt as they would have any misstep a Dem makes).

This is going to get air just as the "slow news" period ends and people really start paying attention-AND right after W&Co's 9/11 political events.

6. I hope people start paying a little more attention and start DIGGING
I think this tip is telling us to look at two things.

1. Which lawyers falsely advised Able Danger and why?
2. What are the circumstances behind the hijacker's visa approvals? Who approved them even though they were filled out completely wrong?
