Are You Sick and Tired of the American Political Cycle? |
|
Republicans get in office and it's party time for the rich. De-regulation, no conflict-of-interest rules, theft, wars, etc.
When the country gets fed up with the party and the hang-over starts, we hand the mess over to the democrats to clean up.
When the democrats have finally started getting things back on the right track, then stupid americans put the republicans back in and it's party-time all over again. Conflict of interest goes right out the window once again.
I'm sick to death of it, and I can already smell the democrats being eventually blamed for the mess in Iraq as they escalate things there by adding more troops. ("After all, we just can't leave them like that, the solution is more soldiers").
Round and Round we go. I'm sick of it.

This pattern will continue.

2. And look at the Dems that have become acceptable and get elected. |
|
Clinton was as middle-of-the-political-road as they come! The republican part of the cycle pulls the center SO FAR TO THE RIGHT, and the dems never get it quite back where it belongs......

4. All we do is fix the problems but get blamed for them. |
|
Somewhere along the line, the democrats will get blamed for mismanaging the war in Iraq.

it will be liberals, to be precise, that will be blamed (once again) for Iraq - even though bad policy and bad policy alone caused every single issue regarding Iraq

5. Especially the mess cleanups |

Basically the GOP takes your credit card and maxes it out to the point where you go bankrupt. The Dems have the thankless task of stepping in, snatching the card, and saying, it's time to get serious about paying down this balance. Meanwhile, you thought you had a great time when the card was available, and now you have to limit your fun times; so you take your frustration out on the "stick in the mud." It doesn't help that the GOP is standing at the sidelines yelling, "Hey! That balance doesn't mean anything, come on, let's play some more! Hey, just pay the minimum, they'll extend your credit, PARTY TIME!!!"
