A tale of a chicken hawk
Edited on Fri Aug-26-05 01:52 PM by nadinbrzezinski
these days I carry enlistment papers

This 22 year old was going on and on and on how the left hates America and how we need to fight the war, you know usual tripe

I approached him and planted in his hands enlistment papers'

What is this?

Enlistment papers, lets go, the marines are looking for a few good patriots

I am fighting the war of ideas in the here and now

No, no, you claim to be a patriot, com'on the recruiter will want to talk to you.

I could get killed doing that

Yep, remember DON'T duck.

A young man, I suspect a marine, said loud enough. We don't want no yellow cowards with us, he could get people killed

Fair enough... I turned around.

He was just left there, standing... he then screamed like you liberals serve RIGHT?

I turned, "actually we do, see that Hybrid over there. them ARE DoD stickers."

1. Well done!
I love what the Marine said. I hope lots of people overheard it. It's great that you have the military bona fides, too.

3. Fighting the "War of Ideas"
The same thing limbaugh has done for years, except they have lost that war as well. Being insane like bush they continue to fight.

I served 24 years and one tour in a combat zone. Twice in the past year, after sharing my two cents worth on the subject, I was told I should join the Army and go to Iraq, then I might not hate our country so much. Made me chuckle like Carl Spackler.

Just go ahead and guess how much total military service the two lads had who said I should go.

delusional. I served (in somebody else's military) as a medic, got shot enough times to know YOU DUCK.. and to also know when you are being shot at, you fight for your buddies, not anything more, and you fight to get home. These idiots though have no clue.

By the way, thank you for your service and welcome home
