Poll question: If Bush were to suddenly
Edited on Fri Aug-26-05 02:02 PM by Mairead
"resign for reasons of health" in a way that, reading between the lines, said 'coup by persons unknown' --what would your reaction be?

1. That would be bad, bad news.
There's just no way to put lipstick on that pig. It means that the incompetent idiot at the top has fallen to the true power behind the throne. These lunatics are so crazy I would be sick with worry that the whole thing was orchestrated to gain access to the football. That's fucking scary.

3. The only place I want to hear the words "President Cheney"
is on the CBC!

4. The reason I posed the question
is that it seems to me that Bush's robotic responses to all the carfuffle lately is the mark either of someone who hasn't a care in the world because he knows his handlers have a complete grip on all the anti-insurrection weapons needed to fold, spindle, and mutilate the lot of us

...or someone who's in the early stages of Descent To Eggplant.

5. Think!
President Cheney with no term limits and the advantage of incumbency.

That is a disaster. As much as I despise Bush, his plummeting poll numbers and idiotic repitition of everything he's told makes him an albatross I want the Pukes to wear in the next election.

6. I wouldn't like it
Cheney is mean and he's very capable of ousting the President if he wants to. Bush is bad enough, but he's dumb Cheney is a sinister mastermind.

7. The same cabal would still be in charge without the Chimp...

Sad to say, his resignation would make no difference in how this country is currently being run into the ground.

Only a clean sweep will make a difference. Even then, there's one helluva mess to clean up.
