"I’m not meeting again with that goddamned bitch" GW on Cindy
“I’m not meeting again with that goddamned bitch,” Bush screamed at aides who suggested he meet again with Cindy Sheehan, the war-protesting mother whose son died in Iraq. “She can go to hell as far as I’m concerned!”

Bush, administration aides confide, frequently explodes into tirades over those who protest the war, calling them “motherfucking traitors.” He reportedly was so upset over Veterans of Foreign Wars members who wore “bullshit protectors” over their ears during his speech to their annual convention that he told aides to “tell those VFW assholes that I’ll never speak to them again is they can’t keep their members under control.”

11. Looks legit to me...
One can not quote someone like that, without risk of a libel suit. So why do it if it wasn't true?

which panned out.

Not one.

In fact, if it's on Capitol Hill blue, there is one thing you can count on, the story is bullshit.

15. Google "terrance wilkinson"
For some direct quotes that rocketed around the web and burned everyone who used them. Courtesy of Doug Thompson. The search oughta bring up his mea culpa at the top as well.

13. while this source is not reliable these articles are fun to read
because it's something we can easily imagine the Chimp doing and kind of plays into what we think and know of him.

19. Yup. I wanna say to the GOP 'well prove it's NOT legitimate'
since that side plays fast and loose with EVERYTHING. Far as I am concerned this sounds exactly like something "W" would say. :)

20. Here's what I found on the "Capitol Hill Blue" web site
Edited on Fri Aug-26-05 03:47 PM by Up2Late
(This is info from his website)

"Capitol Hill Blue is a not-for-profit, non-commercial experiment in on-line journalism published by The Save America Foundation as an information resource for our readers."

It was founded by Doug Thompson who loves himself so much he wrote a very LONG page about himself and his "achievements," here's a link: <http://www.saveamerica.org/founder.html>

Here's some of what his "Our Founder" Page contains:

"...Thompson took a sabbatical from newspapers in 1981 and moved to Washington and work on Capitol Hill, where he served as press secretary to two members of Congress (Rep. Paul Findley of Illinois and Rep. Manuel Lujan of New Mexico), Chief of Staff to a third (Rep. Dan Burton of Indiana) and then Special Assistant to the Ranking Member of the House Space, Science and Technology Committee (Lujan again). He also worked on the Reagan-Bush '84 re-election campaign, managed successful Congressional campaigns, did field work for both the National Republican Senatorial Committee and the National Republican Congressional Committee and served as Vice President for Political Programs Administration for the National Association of Realtors from 1987-1992. He later joined The Eddie Mahe Company, a Washington, DC, strategic communications firm, as senior communications associate and remained affiliated with the firm until it was acquired by Foley-Lardner in 2002...."

(clip)

"...The House Science committee worked with the National Science Foundation to bring the Internet into the private sector and Thompson, while working for the committee, saw the tremendous potential of the 'Net as a communications tool. He used that foresight to start a web hosting and design company in 1994 and that same year launched Capitol Hill Blue as the web's first political news site.

Besides Blue, Thompson publishes a number of other web sites, including D.C. Darkside., American Newsreel and FloydCounty.Com. He also owns Blue Ridge Creative, a photography, video production and digital imaging company in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. In 2001, Thompson and his wife launched the Our America project, a 10-year program to document the first decade of the new century through videos, photography and written essays...."

On the "Our Mission" Page He writes:

"...Save America is a not-for-profit, non-partisan educational foundation created by journalist and photographer Doug Thompson, who also founded Capitol Hill Blue and a number of other web sites and publications.

Save America exists solely to try and cut through the partisanship and misinformation that dominates the Internet and bring facts to the attention of our readers. We have no ax to grind, no hidden agendas to develop, no political philosophies to push.

Save America is funded entirely out of Thompson's personal resources.

We have projects both underway and in the planning stages. Stay tuned for more details..."

I think it is very clear that this guy (and his website) is the "project" of a RW Propaganda Pusher, with the goal of putting out "misinformation," or Dis-info as it's called now.

Also, the 1994 "founding" of the RW on-line cyber-rag corresponds nicely with the flood of "misinformation" that slithered around the Clinton Impeachment.

On Edit: Another Clue the "Save America Foundation" has NO e-mail addresses! They DO have a P.O. Box though, mighty odd for a "not-for-profit, non-partisan educational foundation" created back in 1994.

22. This is fun to read and even likely to be true. But, until there is
some hard evidence to present, we should probably use a bit of restraint on this rumor. It makes us look like we are reaching.
