It required a supreme effort, but I believe I managed to remain civil. I certainly don't expect the courtesy of a reply, but I feel better just for having sent it.
Mr. Limbaugh, I visited your website this morning. Frankly, if I know what the day's right-wing talking points are going to be, I find that with just a modicum of thought, I am able, in just a few seconds, to silence those I may encounter during the course of my day who slavishly parrot your daily meanderings. But that is not the purpose of this missive. Instead, I wished to comment on the section of your web page entitled "Take Rush to War with You". We are approximately the same age, Mr. Limbaugh, but I have already been to war; and you most assuredly did NOT come with me. I spent most of 1970 and part of 1971 in the A Shau Valley of Viet Nam. I even picked up a couple of those Purple Hearts which you so derisively mock when mentioned as a part of Senator John Kerry's service record. "Chickenhawk" has become an over-used term, Rush. It seems to lack much of it's previous sting. But I wish you could have spent just a few seconds with a few of us boonierats in the spring of '72. (Not while we were under fire, of course. The pucker-factor could get awfully high at such times, and you might have ruptured one of your cysts.) But I believe that the abject contempt with which we spit out the term might have caused even you to suffer a twinge of shame (assuming, of course, that you are capable of said emotion). In any case, it should have made you think twice about using "Take Rush to War" as an advertising slogan. Sincerely,

1. I don't know if you've seen them |

but Ben Shapiro's last two articles were about the chickenhawk term - must be feeling the sting because he just graduated from college and is hosting a radio show in Oklahoma City (i believe) rather than going to Iraq). Bryant' check it out --> http://politicalcomment.blogspot.com

17. Ha achieve some noteriety during the Afganistan War |
|
When we accidently bombed a wedding party, he claimed to feel no sympathy for the dead Afghans, saying the life of an Afghan civilian is not worth as much as the life of an American Soldier.
SInce then he's been a regular contributer to Townhall - I don't know where is article originates. He is young - he just graduated, and he's written two books -they are from the school of whiny crybaby conservative college students.
When I started my website he was one of the big three (along with Walter E. Williams and Ann Coulter) that I went to a lot. I took to calling him Ben Shapiro, Boy Prognosticator after he wrote an article about what a great predicter of future events he is. He's been a regular subject as well- he wrote an article calling for the invasion of Syria Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and possibly others.
You can find more about him at his bio at townhall, I guess.

Excellent letter :).
I can't believe that even someone as slimey as Rush would use that as a slogan.

9. Intelligent, concise, and to the point |

Well done, not a bunch of off topic critisism that causes his assistants to stop reading and hit delete after the first sentence.
This one may even make it to Rush's own eyes.
I have a hard time finding such restraint and would have mentioned something about a golden microphone up his ass right away.
O'Reilly's another one, opting for undergrad school in England until the heat died down. Now he claims "Vietnam was different" implying that he would join up and serve in Iraq, if only he was of age.

...and didn't have that limp, and the bad eye, and the gimpy leg, and the felafel up his ass.

13. Great letter, but don't expect a reply because he'll never get to read it |
|
I imagine he's got several staffers who screen his "fan mail" and pass along only select "pro-Limbaugh" letters to him. I'm sure Rush is too cowardly to read letters like yours that hit the nail on the head.

Though am not sure what "Take Rush to War with You" means. Either way, he must feels that he is in a good company of war mongers who have never spent a day in boot camp.
