Let'smake sure Armed Forces Recruiters greet the pro-war idiots in Texas!!
Edited on Fri Aug-26-05 03:17 PM by goodboy
When the pro-war caravan arrives in Crawford, they should be greeted by Armed Forces Recruiters who'll help them to support the war and the pResident they love so much...

that is, unless it's nothing more than a ROLLING PUBLICITY STUNT!!!

Who can help make this happen?

What was Ted Nugent's excuse?

5. Kick! This is the message for all pro-war supporters: Sign Un or Shut Up.
Any pro-war supporter who is of age to join the armed forces should hear one unified message over and over from all of us: Sign up or Shut Up.

When our soldiers and Marines are rotating in and out of Iraq on three tours there, these jackasses need to be asked for their names so that they can be sent to the Recruiters Offices. Sign up or shut up.

Even the freepers.

13. No one but Cindy speaks for Cindy.
If you read my post, I refer to the thousands of young men and women who are already now on the third tour of duty in Iraq.

I know many of these soldiers and Marines personally...along with their families.

While, I can't speak for Cindy (seems everyone else does including George Bush), I don't think that Cindy would have a problem with some of the chickenhawks being pressured to shut up their glorification of war or to sign up, if not, to relieve these poor folks who are on the merry-go-round to Iraq over and over again.

Shut up or sign up.

Neither the Peace Hosuse or Peace Movement want more bloodshed in Iraq.

22. It (the Mil recruiter stuff) was posted on the Crawford PH message board
but they removed it and issued a statement paraphrased in my previous post. You may be able to find it here:

10. That's why army rec's have been informed--we're not there to confront
anybody--but GW--and couldn't get near them anyway. Any naughty, baiting behavior gets you a night in Waco jail, a fine, and a free air=conditioned ride to the lockup.

7. If they don't want to enlist, they could help returning war veterans
by giving them rides back and forth to the VA hospitals the rest of their lifes.

11. telegraphing ...
What is the point of posts like this? Do they not alert our enemies to what we planning?

This isn't the first time I've seen great ideas doomed to failure because the OP hasn't thought through the consequences of publicizing efforts before they materialize.

Do our freeper brethren not monitor this site and therefore now have several days to prepare their responses if in fact the recruiters show up?

Are there not GOP ops monitoring this site and if so do you think they would allow some recruiter with a quota to harass pro-Bush, pro-War protesters organized by the same group that helped the swift boat crew?

What is gained by "vanity" posts (this one isn't even the first on this subject) that telegraph strategy, or action efforts? Perhaps what we should do is post the RESULTS of ideas like this AFTER they have been executed and not before.

14. If the counter protesters are made aware that recruiters will greet them.
so what?

It's not like a big secret hush-hush operation, Kerebos.

17. ok
What is the point? To scare freepers into thinking a recruiter will be there or to get the recruiter there?

Because one phone call from the GOP ops to that recruiting office will put an end to that.

Getting video of virgin reactions to a recruiter asking a pro-War protester to enlist would be priceless.

Instead now we will get canned responses because they are prepared for them.

Hell, now they can even say "sure I'd love to but I left my ID at home."

I think it was a great idea it's just a shame it wasn't done on the QT.

19. Answer; yes, both ...
If the threat of a recruiters presence keeps a few at home, fine.

Hubs has a pal who just finished a rotation as a recruiter. They are not making mission and anything that will help them (they get bigtime punishment for not hitting their numbers) is welcome.

I don't view this as sparking a confrontation. Just seems logical, that's all.

20. Here's what would be great...
On the day the freepers show up to Crawford, here's how we can counter them:

1. Get a video camera.

2. Have a man go around posing as an army recruiting officer (optional: ask a real recruiting officer to join in the prank).

3. Have the "army recruiting officer" ask the counter-protestors if they would join the army, using another person with said video camera to film the reactions.

4. Send the video tape to every major and minor media outlet in the country. Send multiple times if necessary.

5. If that doesnt work, send the video tape off to Jay Leno.
